Thank you notes..

What is better to hand deliver or mail?

Is one way more "proper"? I had a bridal shower a week ago, and just finished up my thank you's. I will be seeing people on Christmas so I can hand delivery them then, or mail them and they will get them after Christmas.

 

Thoughts?

(I don't want  it to look like I'm too cheap for postage.. which definitely isn't an issue. lol)

Mail. Part of the reason is so that you don't hand an envelope to people when they're not home - they might set it somewhere and forget it or have to hold it all evening (for men, and some women who don't carry a purse).
