Holiday Plans?

What are everyone’s plans for the holidays? I can live through you all because we arent doing anything exciting at all ;0)

My husband was sent home from his latest deployment early so he could attend school, and that puts him on duty for the holidays (not complaining, at least hes here with us right now!). So we are spending Christmas with a few of our other friends here who arent going home either, but otherwise its going to be a very low key day. Christmas is ALSO my birthday so I told him all I want is to gather some of my favorite girl movies and to sit in a clean house (which hes been working on the last few days!).

We are driving from here to California in a month and a half, so its probably best that we dont go anywhere now. We are getting our house ready to rent out (I hate leaving it!) and there is so much excitement coming up with the move that low ley is not a bad thing this year!

A low key Christmas sounds wonderful right now. :)  We have all of DH's family coming over tomorrow night (he has 6 siblings + their spouses and kids!).  I still have to finish my baking and get the house cleaned.  Thankfully DH is here to help, because I don't feel like doing anything.
Christmas day we are going to my parent's house for the day and open gifts there.   Should be a busy next few days. :)

Oh my gosh, thats a lot of people! Will you be telling anyone over the holidays?

I told the girls in my Thursday moms group - I am with them all the time and we often go out for girls nights and Christmas was supposed to be a “toast” to my birthday. I had to spill the beans but I told them that it was still SO early that I didnt really want to talk about it. Keeping it a secret this year will be easier with no family around!

Yes, it is a lot of people.  I'm usually exhausted after they all go home! :)  Yeah, we will be telling everyone.  I'm really open about my pregnancies and losses, so we feel comfortable sharing the news.  :)

It's great that you have a mom's group there and you were able to share with them.  By the way, Happy (early) Birthday!! :)

We're having a very low key Christmas this year, just the three of us. DH's family was here watching our son last weekend while we were out of town and we'll go up and see my family next weekend. We're going to smoke a prime rib, watch movies and hope DS is more into Christmas this year. I'm kind of excited that it'll be so relaxed.

We are traveling 2.5 hours to see my family. It is nice to be so close to them at times (dh is military), but it is such a pain to have to go up there for every holiday.

I think next year (if we are still here), we are going to stay home and do our own thing.

IVF, OHSS, PPROM, loss of twins at 23 weeks, and a FET to get my take home baby. Lilypie Third Birthday tickers
IVF cycle two=success! Hoping for another take home baby. Missed miscarriage at 9w4d. Here we go again....
IVF cycle three- transferred two and had NINE to freeze. BFP! Hoping this is our second rainbow baby.

A low key holiday sounds great. We are doing too much this year. We had Christmas 1 today with my mom's side, Christmas 2 with my dad's side tomorrow, Christmas 3 with my parents and brothers on Tuesday then off to Christmas 4 with DH's mom's family. Finally, Christmas 5 will come on the 27th when his mom, her boyfriend, and his brother come here to celebrate. Somewhere in there we need to find time to have our own Christmas. I feel blessed to have so many family members close enough to celebrate with, but this Christmas vacation doesn't feel "vacation-like!"
