XP: please settle a debate

This is probably going to sound stupid... but we're first time parents so cut us some slack : We received a wipe warmer as a gift. My husband got it all set up and put the wipes in it... but left them inside the original packaging they came in. I think they need to come out of the packaging before going into the warmer. He says I'm wrong. Who is right here?

I would think you would need to take them out of the plastic package.

My DH left ours in the package because the warmer seemed too big for that many wipes. IDK what is best, but don't feel badly for being confused, I guess we are too!

you get the pad thing wet and put the wipes directly on top of the pad.

the plastic shouldn't be in the warmer.

I would think you take them out of the plastic. But that said, in my opinion a wipes warmer is a total waste of money, so I would resolve the debate by returning the item...

Thanks everyone. The warmer did come with instructions but they were very vague. I finally convinced DH I was right and they needed to come out of the package. I know a lot of people say the warmers are a waste, but so far LO likes the warm wipes!
