Picking out our baby girl name...

We are expecting our first baby- a girl in March. I never thought naming her would be so hard! My husband's name is Ryan, mine is Lesley so we thought we might combine our names and get Ryley. I'm not 100% sure that I love the spelling that way- others include Rylie, Rylee. We also like the name Addison. My middle name is Kaye. I've always liked the name Lucy (husband doesn't) so I thought maybe adding Lucille as a middle name. Here's what we've come up with so far:

Addison Ryley

Addison Rylee

Addison Rylie

Addyson Ryley

Addyson Rylee

Addyson Rylie

Ryley Kaye

Rylie Kaye

Rylee Kaye

Ryley Lucille

Rylie Lucille

Rylee Lucille

Any ideas and thoughts are appreciated! Is Addison too common?

I don't think that Addison is too common. It's a lovely name. :)

I don't like Ryley/Rylie/Rylee. I would use Riley.

My vote goes to Addison Kaye or Riley Kaye.

Honestly?  Both Addison and Riley are boy's names.  Addison literally means "son of Adam" so it makes no sense on a daughter and Riley is so masculine despite the fact that people put the name on a girl.

I really like Lucille, nickname Lucy.

What about Lucille Riley or Lucille Addison?

EDIT: If you insist of Riley, it's best to spell it correctly.  All those misspellings make you and your husband look illiterate.  I'm not trying to be mean, just honest.  Spelling names appropriately and correctly saves your daughter from a lifetime of correcting everyone.

Addison Riley is very boyish no matter how bad you misspell the names. I hate Riley on a girl. Kay is alright as a middle name but the "e" on the end annoys me.

Lucille is the only name I actually like.

Unisex name + Unisex name = Boy imo. Addison and Riley are both traditionally male names that have recently become trendy to use on girls. I know so many boys named Riley that it's not at all feminine to me.

I don't like Addison, but since you do, I would go with Addison Lucille. Or maybe Lucille Kaye. All those misspellings of Riley hurt my eyes.

Edit: Both Addison and Riley are relatively popular. When you combine all the various spellings, they were #14 and #18 in the US last year. Up to you if that is too common or not.

I like Addison Riley. I have a Goddaughter named Ryleigh. I like how they spelled it bc I think it seems more GIRLY. I'm not a fan of the name really, I think of it as a dogs name.. Sorry! But it's not as bad in the mn spot.

None are really my style but I strongly prefer the spellings Riley and Addison. I'm not a fan of the Ys in the middle of the names. Of your options, I like Riley Lucille best.

I just wanted to say that I think that whether Addison is a boy or girl name really depends on your area. My niece is named Addison and honestly in my hometime their are a TON of little girl Addisons. Way more than any boy. We call our Addison, Addie.

I only like the spelling Riley.

When I hear Addison and Riley, I think girl nowadays. I like both names, but I love the connection of your husband's name and Riley and your mn, so I vote

Riley Kaye, but out of your selections, Rylee Kaye.

Personally, Addison and Riley are both boy names to me, but I prefer Riley over Addison, with this spelling.  I have two in my classes this year, Ryleigh and Rylie, and neither of their friends spell their names correctly, they always spell it Riley,

Yep, Riley sounds like a dog name to me, too. I like the connection to your names, though, so I would make it the MN. Addison is fine.

I like Riley Lucille.  Even though a lot of girls are using Addison, I don't love a "son of" name on a girl, and I think it is more popular than Riley.  I think putting Riley with a more feminine name helps people to realize she is a girl thus Riley Lucille.

Agreed.

And yes, I would say Addison is common-DS has 2 little girls in his class of 9 with that name.

Don't like Addison.  I do like Rylie on a boy or girl, but spelled that way.  Lucille is fine but I wouldn't use it if the only reason is to get Lucy and you H doesn't like it.

What about Allison--haven't read the other posts so not sure what was suggested.
