Having ftm jitters regarding sex

I feel so silly even posting this, but I am so nervous to have intercourse. I know that spotting afterward is normal, I'm just afraid I'm going to freak out about it. I just don't think I can go 6 more months with telling DH no every time. I need to get over it!

If you don't have any health issues then having sex is perfectly safe while you are pregnant. Seriously. Enjoy it,  it get a lot harder after baby is born ;)

Please forgive my typos! I'm not as dumb as my iphone would like you to believe :)

It will be fine... No one will be happy if you don't for the whole pregnancy... Unless your dr has told you not to there is no issues. And you probably won't spot after but if you do it's fine and normal... Go get em

Apprently I was on pelvic rest for the first 12 weeks. My doctor gave me the "OK" to start having sex again. I didn't mention that he never told me to NOT have it in the first place. I have been fine with 2-3 goes a week. No worries.

If your doctor isn't concerned you shouldn't be either!

This!!!

Seriously, sex while pregnant is safe, fun, and even good for you--there are studies out there that show exposure to your partner's semen during pregnancy lowers your risk for pre-e. So if you need another reason....

Don't worry. We've had sex more often since we found out. We are not gentle and I have not spotted at all and there's been no pain or complications. As long as you don't have any abnormalities you'll be just fine.

While pregnant with DD we were having sex regularly and I never had any spotting afterward.  It's not necessarily a given, so try to relax a bit and enjoy yourselves.

I'm with the other ladies - DO IT! We've been having sex the whole time. I did have bleeding early in the pregnancy - not just spotting, actual bleeding. I had a friable cervix, but that has toughened up now, and sex is amazing. Your orgasms will be more powerful and you have a lot more lubrication, which feels really good for your SO. Don't be alarmed if you have Braxton-Hicks afterward - that's totally normal, too, and they're actually good for your baby. Please have sex before your husband's balls explode! You'll be so happy you did it!

well, we're all adults here so I'll say it. Do it!

unless there is a reason(doc not approved) then go for it. You may experience a lil spotting but it is normal. cramps are too. DH has been beggin since the gals went from an A to a C cup. Now that they are not sore, he gets his fun..everyday. It's healthy and normal for him to want you more and for you to want him. Everything is changing with your body so you are still sensitive though you may not be sore. What felt good before is amazing now.

do it, you'll feel better

Um...that would be more like 7.5 months. Most docs recommend waiting 6 weeks PP to DTD. And there aren't any guarantees that you're going to feel up to it at the 6 week mark. I remember a lot of posts on my other BMB's FB group in the months following about lack of drive, exhaustion from sleepless nights, awkwardness with leaky breasts...

Just something to think about if you don't have an actual medical reason to avoid it now.

My husband and I DTD since we found out we were pregnant! Everything seems fine. I had a slight bit of spotting ONCE in 1st trimester. Everyone is right...it feels so great. Everything is heightened. Go get em, girl!

I'm so jealous of all of you having sex. We've done it twice since getting KU. I just have ZERO sex drive while pregnant. It sucks :( :( I was the same way with DS.

Braxton-Hicks increase blood-flow to the uterus to help nourish the baby. Just read it yesterday here:

My sex drive has gone way down too. Ugh! I try though...for DH. Once I get into it, it's fantastic and I don't know WHY I wasn't wanting to. haha. It just takes longer for me to get in the mood.
