What do your kids wear at night?

Kayleigh is daytime PT, she wears a pull up for nap and overnight. She's been getting little minor rashes from them, and now has a nice sized rash on her little butt cheek. I am thinking it might be from wearing a pull up at night, perhaps it doesn't absorb enough pee? She doesn't leak through it so idk. Should I switch back to diapers at night?

Do you use nighttime PullUps? They are extra absorbent.

They're actually not much more than the regular ones. B had the same issue when we first started PT. Now I make sure he doesn't drink anything within the 2 hours before bed & he wakes up dry.

I'm ready to climb the walls, too, buddy.

If you do couponing, they aren't that expensive. I just got 3 packs of pampers easy ups for 8 dollars

That's a good deal!  I have no idea where to find the coupons though.  I just know that pull ups are 3x more than diapers to begin with, and the night time pull-ups are even more.  Tonight I just slabbed a bunch of desitin on her butt cheek, haha poor kid.

I try to get DD to pee before bed, she wears a regular diaper to bed and then as soon as she is really awake in the morning, she strips off her jammies and diaper.   She's day PTed but I'm not pushing night PT.  Neither of my girls have ever woken up in the middle of the night asking to go potty while they were PT. Maybe your DD is having a reaction to something in the pullups.

Maybe?  Although she's worn them for months, she only gets little rashes sometimes.  I'm not pushing the night time PT either, not til after baby.  If she's 3.5 and still wearing a diaper at night I don't care.  I think we will start to push the nap time PT though, I'm already telling her "don't pee in your pull up" but so far no luck.

Exactly this! Glad I'm not alone. And DS just wore diapers to bed till he was waking up dry. I didn't see the point in pull ups.

This for me, too. Although we have been doing the Pampers Overnights or Cruisers at night because he leaks through others. I need to stop letting him have a small cup of water before bed.

We only use easy ups because he likes to tear the tabs off the diapers while wearing them. He strips down to just easy up as soon as we walk in the door.

She wears target brand pull ups at nap time and at night. She almost always wakes up dry, so that helps. They do not absorb nearly as much as diapers, I'd say that is your issue.

Not really since we only use one at night. A whole pack lasts a month, KWIM?

DD isn't PT although she uses the potty often. She pees more than any human I know! We use Huggies Overnights in a size bigger than her size and she still wakes up wet if she doesn't use the potty before bed. If your DD just pees a "normal" amt those might work!

I know, I wish this was us.  Kayleigh has been getting in the habit of pooping in her pull up, and almost 90% of the time when I check on her before I go to bed, she has poop in her pull up and I have to change it, so we end up using 2-4 a day).

I think I'm just going to switch back to diapers at night and nap.  I'll just call them "pull-ups" so she doesnt know the difference haha.

Edit: And we're going to stop letting her drink fluids all the way up to bed.

No, I mean, I buy reg. pull ups for the day (4-5 a day) and buy a box of overnight pull ups for at night (1 per night). So with coupons it usually costs an extra $20 a month to use overnights along with regular pull ups.
