NTTGP: Gift HELP!

We're going over to H's grandparents for dinner tonight, and I want to take something over for them as a Christmas gift, but I have absolutely no clue what to get. I would like to do something a little more thoughtful than a gift card. I have been racking my brain for weeks now for nothing. My husband is absolutely NO help what-so-ever. They are an elderly couple, in their 70s.  Any suggestions?

can you bake some cookies or make some candy?

ETA: those things in a nice Christmas tin are always special gifts.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Also, depending on your budget, you can do something like a festive holiday arrangement or a bottle of wine (it they partake)

Are they coffee drinkers? Maybe coffees, mugs, creamer, biscotti/cookies?

Or maybe a winter car basket?  Gas card, ice scraper, windshield wiper fluid, that defreeze ice spray? (if you live in a cold area)

For my grandma, we used to do sugar free candy, wine, blankets, scarves, mittens, or books. They are hard to shop for!
