Flushed cheeks

DD has had flushed cheeks the past 2 days. We live in a cold climate but the past few days we have not gone on any long walks. Any idea what could be the cause?

I think there was a thread a couple of days ago that said it was a symptom of teething. If that's it, good luck!

Yeah, there was a post the other day about this. DS is currently having this issue too. Going on 3 days now. I think it mentioned drool chapping up the skin also in the post. I don't think DS is teething quite yet, but he's definitely drooling a ton. Maybe early stages of it though.

LOs cheeks get flushed from teething and dry from drool. As per the pedis recommendation I put a tiny bit of face safe lotion on his cheeks before bed.

Yup teething. Avery's cheeks are SO red these days.

 

She is drooling a ton, chomping on everything she can (when I put lotion on her face she bites my fingers and when I hold her against my shoulder she bites me...), and is SUPER fussy. If it's not teething then I am at a complete loss.

Ok, first I must say she's so stinkin cute.  I am fimiliar with red cheeks, and I use aquaphor on them.  I wet the cheek first and then put aquaphor on it (don't dry cheeks).  If that doesn't work, then probably teething.  GL!!

DS had this too.  I think they were chapped from all the drool he had on his face (from his hands, toys, bibs, etc).  I put vaseline on his cheeks before I put him down to sleep.  I only had to do it 2 nights and his cheeks were back to normal.  The vaseline was suggested to me by other moms at daycare.

DS just had a major red chin and yup it was form cold weather / drool.  It was better in a couple of days.  I was about to put some lanisoh on it, but it got better.
