Mason&Mama:Staying in bed increases bowel issues. As a nurse, getting patients active is the number 1 way to keep them regular.
Yep. Get up and walk around, stay active. It's the best thing to get things going. FWIW when I worked in cardiac ICU we would have people up and walking the day after open heart surgery-now THAT had to hurt! Activity is the best thing for your body, especially now.
Another thing to keep in mind-the baby dropping isn't the reason for the inability to get things out. If you think about it some people actually poop while the head is coming out, which is a lot further down than the baby is right now. Get up and walk around for a while (I would walk somewhere if you can-even around the block) and see if that gets things moving. Good luck!
