I had a stomach bug at 27 weeks, too.  Your midwife has the best advice for you, of course, since she knows you and your pregnancy.  When I was sick my doctor's offices said that as long as my temperature stayed 100 or below and as long as I was able to stay adequately hydrated, then they weren't overly concerned.

Hope that helps!

I went down in a heap with 2 vile tummy bugs when I was pregnant with DD2.

I never got myself checked because it was clearly a viral stomach bug, rather than a bacterial food poisoning like listeria, that the whole family had.

If you're MW is relaxed, then I'ms ure you're fine, but I understand your concern.

Hope you feel well quickly.

Sorry to hear that. The stomach bug is the worst. I think as long as you're keeping hydrated, the baby will be fine. I'd say if you go more than 36 hours without eating anything, call your doctor.

The main concerns are temperature (below 100.4) and hydration. It's really important that you keep fluids down, as dehydration can lead to PTL. I am getting over a stomach virus (just hit me last night, oh joy!), and that's basically what the doctor on call told me. She wanted me to go to the ER in case it was a gallbladder issue, but I'm broke and a bad patient. Since I'm recovering, I'm confident it was a bug.

I hope you feel better soon!

I had one at 31 weeks.  I forced myself to drink a lot of water.  I was better the next day - though I spent hours worrying that it was something more.  I'm 34 weeks now and everything seems normal.
