Holiday AW

We had Christmas dinner with my mother's side of the family.  LO started to get into his fussy period that he usually has about that time of the evening, so I went to the back, latched him on the boob and threw a swaddling blanket over his body, and came back out.  Even my SO didn't know right away that Jax was latched on.  I nursed him all through dinner and no one even noticed.  I actually felt like I knew what I was doing.  Cool

What have you done that you are really proud of and want everyone to know about?

Way to go!  I am still not talented enough to walk and BF at the same time.

I was proud that I was able to BF my baby while at my family Christmas party with a cover on.  Then I didn't have to hide in a room and feel unsociable.   And she didn't pull the cover off!

Way to go! I'm not there yet, but did manage to nurse DD under the nursing cover while everyone opened presents yesterday at our holiday brunch. Yay for not being hidden away for the whole time!

On Satirday when we tried to leave our store, Linden was upset and I knew we wouldn't be able to go so we abandoned the mission and I nursed her. Last night when we were leaving she was fussy again but I could just tell that she'd fall asleep as soon as we were outside, rolling along in the stroller. And that's what happened. I felt awesome and like I actually do have a clue!

Awesome! NIP really helps you to get to live more whole baby is young. I hid in a back room forever with my 1. Yay for brave mamas.

I didn't do anything different but we had a Christmas miracle. Last night, while SIL and BIL had the boys, DD slept 11 to 745!!!! That is crazy insane long for her. Best Christmas gift I could possibly get!!

I remember glaring jealously at mom at the mall when I took LO there when he was a few weeks old. I couldn't imagine breast feeding and eating lunch, they made it look so easy. Breast feed without the brestfriend you say? Never, impossible. Well now I'm one of those moms whose breastfed all over the place without dragging the pillow along. When I'm around family I don't even use the cover anymore because it annoys me. I still use the cover if I'm in home depot or some other public place.

Good for you! I was so shy about NIP, but now that I've got the hang of things, I nurse her everywhere! Of course now that it's cold, I nurse with a blanket a lot, so that helps my nerves.

My AW (stands for attention whore, right?) moment was when I realized yesterday that I can interpret Anita's cries. Like, I know her hungry cry, her mad cry, pain cry, etc, and I know her cues and mannerisms. So cool that I picked up on that, when in the beginning, I thought I never would!
