I'm also newly diagnosed. After meeting with the dietician today, I feel much better. My plan is to have 2 servings or carbs at breakfast, 3 at lunch and dinner and 2-3 snacks/day. I was told always pair a carb and protein (cheese stick and fruit, eggs and toast, etc) And to eat whole grains whenever possible-bread, pasta, rice, etc.
