O question

I haven't posted in a few months and this might be a stupid question, so humor me please.
I haven't been taking my temp the last few months because I've found that sleeping under our heated blanket is making them very inaccurate so I'm not positive on my o dates lately. I generally don't have CM except for one burst, on one day, during one trip to the restroom...or at least any that I notice. My question is, could that mean that after that happens I am ovulating and fertile, or does that mean my egg has been released and now it's too late? We have been trying since February and I'm really starting to question every little thing that happens at this point. I'd appreciate any help.
Also, sorry for any mistakes. I'm bumping from my phone.

You can have any kind of CM at any point in your cycle, so it really isn't a good predictor of ovulation.

I know this is gross but when you go number 2, sometimes you can check and you'll see cm. I know that's when I see most of it. I think it pushes it out. :-)

It's going to be impossible to know.  CM by itself is not a very good predictor of ovulation.  It is best used with other methods, like temping, CP, and OPK's.  Are you checking internally for CM?  I rarely see CM unless I check internally.  Checking after a bowel movement like PP suggested is also a good time to check.  Good luck!
