Nutrimagen AA Lipil

Our dr just put my 12 week old on the Enfamil Nutrimagen AA Lipil formula because of her allergy to the protein in cow's milk.  This formula is only avaliable online and cannot be purchased in the store and it's so expensive- around $40 for a 14 oz. container & I go through 2 containers a week.  We are not rich (both of us work full time) but do not come close to qualifying for WIC... any advice on parents who had to use an expensive formula that they couldn't really afford?!?

Where do you live? Both of my kids are on the Similac version and I can buy it or nutrimagen at just about any local store. Sometimes insurance will cover it depending on your policy but you'll have to call. Otherwise ask the manufactuer for coupons, check sites like eBay and amazon for deals.

Call the number of your prescription meds coverage and ask them if they cover any of it.  Doesn't hurt to ask!  Also, check to see if purchasing by a case will save you any money.

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

PAIF and SAIF welcome. IVF questions welcome, too.

I live in Las Vegas- I did call the insurance & prescription phone #'s and its not covered because it is considered over the counter.
