DS' MN is Douglas.
I think Walter as a MN is a great choice.
Other friends of ours have given 'old man' names for MN as well...
Morris, Arthur, Franklin, George
Walter was my Grandfathers name :)
I think it would make a fine middle name.
Zimger:I think it is a good MN. If it helps I don't think it's an "old man" name.
And I think it's one of the most "old man" names out there! lol Funny how we all have differing opinions.
I really don't like Walter. But I do like some other names that could be considered "old man" names such as Harrison and Davis.

It probably has to with with having dated a Walter. He was the III so his father and grandfather had the same name. It just doesn't seem as dated as some of the others do. At least to me.
I love Walter! And in general, I like old man names.
fitzpemberley:I like old man names, and I like Walter.
