speck of blood

DS is 4 months and has never had any problems before with food intolerences. This morning when he pooped there was a tiny speck of blood in his poop. He seems ok...happy and whay not but I am getting kind of freaked out....could it be mspi?

It could be. A few months back, there was some blood in my DD's diaper. I asked my LC. She gave this advice on babies: the first time something happens, it's a fluke; the second time, pay attention; the third time, get help. So, if it just happened once and he is acting normal, I wouldn't worry about it. She also said how the baby is acting is more important than a little speck of blood.

Thanks! Iwill defintiely keep an eye on it...I thought it would be odd for him to have mspi this late in the game but you know the FTM freak outs!

I'm a FTM, too, but since I've already had this freak out, I thought I'd help! :)

How are his BMs otherwise?

Food Intolerance poo is usually some combo of mucousy, green, and blood.

Also - check your nipples for any cracks/blisters etc.  Sometimes they have blood in their stool from ingesting it while feeding.
