Spotting! For how long!?

Hi ladies!

I know spotting is something you girls have discussed before, so sorry to bother with it again... But im just plain scared!

Last Thursday I started spotting, so I went to my OB long story short, he said everything looked great with the baby and all i'm 7wks 2 days today. He said, spotting it's normal in the first trimester as long as it doesn't come with painful cramps and heavy blood like with your period.

The thing is that, today is Monday and I'm still spotting. Sometimes, brown, sometimes pink. Not at all like a period still im scared! This is baby no. 2 and I didn't go through this with my first.

Is this still normal? Almost a week has passed and I'm still spotting?! My next appointment is on Jan. 08... Should I wait or go to the ER!?

Pls girls I need some words of wisdom here!!! Cause I'm going nuts!

Doc said everything looked good, so why are you still worried? Our word means nothing compared to that of a trained professional. I know it may distress you but there is no other advice we can give that your doctor has not already given. If you begin heavy bleeding with cramping like a period then call your doc back.

Follow your gut. If you feel something is wrong then call your doctor. Spotting is normal but it can indicate miscarriage. Did your doctor check your HCG levels? Maybe have those checked. Did he do an ultrasound? Sorry you are dealing with this. And not to be a punk but doctors aren't always right and aren't always as thorough as should be or can be. Good luck!

Thank u girls...

And to answer that last question... My hcg levels are good as well as my progesterone got that already checked. Last week on my visit to te OB i got and u/s, intravaginal. I got to see the baby and the heart!

The only thing that got worried is that the spotting hasn't stopped yet... We'll see what happens. Tks again!

Also, I don't know how long you have been lurking but since you said you had a intravaginal ultrasound know that it can also cause some spotting ect. That may also be a cause for some of your lingering spotting.
