Hi

So..I'm new here.  :)  I got my BFP last Monday....according to my LMP, I should be 6 wks and 3 days.  I have just been lurking around here for the past week because the last time I was preggo I miscarried at 14 weeks...I guess I'm feeling like I don't want to jynx it?  Crazy...I know.  Well, I could use the support and someone who just gets it, so I'm posting.  :)

I currently have a 8 year old step-son and 7 year old daughter.  This will be my DH's and my first baby together.  We are excited, but again, with my previous history, we're kinda leary.  I have only told 3 very close friends and his mother.  Anyone else not telling people for awhile?  It's SOOOO hard to keep it a secret, but I just can't shout it to the world just yet....still pretty scared. 

I look foward to getting to know you ladies and sharing this wonderful journey.

Welcome. I told everyone. I can't help it. Even with my 2 miscarriages I still told early and of course everyone knew I miscarried. But pregnancy is one of those things that I just can't hide and my fam was super supportive even after I miscarried.

Yes...I guess people were just awkward instead of supportive before and it just makes it hard for me to share it this time.  :/  I hate feeling this nervous about it too - sigh.  I'll probably tell everyone around 12 weeks - if I can wait that long.  I start to "show" (bloat rather lol) very early so I might not have a choice! lol

Welcome! We haven't told anyone and we are dying to. DH's BFF and DS's godfather just announced they were pregnant with their first a couple of days ago. Our kiddos will be 2 months apart and we really want to tell them but we are waiting until 12 weeks.

I'm so sorry for your previous loss.

I,too,will not be announcing.

Just DH and my mother know. Because of our loss it just makes more sense for us to wait until second trimester. I completely know how you feel.

Welcome and congrats, sorry to hear about your previous loss!  We are waiting to tell most.  I told my sister and mom who both live out of state and one friend and DH told two friends.  We have our first ultrasound 12/31 so will tell fam/close friends then.  Will probably wait until 10 weeks to announce on FB.

I am very sorry for your loss.

We are waiting until the 2nd tri to tell people. I kinda like the secret.

Congrats and here's to hh9!! We are also waiting to tell this time. I told my mom and my close friends because if anything happens I know I will need their support. We go to dr in Friday and as long as all looks good we will tell my husbands immediate family. Everyone else including work we will tell after. My 12w appt.

Welcome! I started out intending to only tell a couple people but I couldn't lie when asked outright, and others in the family have big mouths. So a ton if people know.

But it's okay. Now at least I don't feel like I have to try to hide my bloated belly.
