At a loss

So for the past week almost I have been getting only 3 or 4 hours of sleep a night. My 19 month old will sleep from 8 to 12 then pretty much have to be held to sleep after that. Sometimes he will go back to sleep in his crib at 4 or 5a for a couple more hours. My DH and I take shifts trying to rock him to sleep but he wakes up crying when we put him down. We tried CIO and it did not work. He will not cosleep, he will actually try to get out of bed. We are at a loss on what to do to get him to sleep. He used to wake up once or twice a night but would go right back to sleep after 15 min of rocking but I don't know what is going on! I think he's getting his eye teeth. We give him Motrin and it doesn't help. I'm a zombie and we don't know what to do. Help!
PS Merry sleepy Christmas!

Could your LO have an ear infection? I'm guessing you probably ruled that out and its teething. My DS was teething but has an ear infection on top of it which is bringing on some awesome nights! Are you using a pillow or something to elevate your LOs head? I guess that alleviates the pressure they feel from teething. I so regret not investing in a Lazy Boy recliner! Merry Christmas. Good Luck!
