I worked in retail. If we had the wrong price up we gave the customer the item for the price that was up. We then took the wrong price down not to have any further issues.
I guess in this case pottery barn had a disclaimer on their site which I guess covers them.
I still think it's insane. It was a mistake. These things happen on the interwebz all the time. Target had a dyson listed on their site for like $25, then there was Britaxgate of 09. I think it's perfectly acceptable to see if you can get a smokin' deal under the radar, but getting worked up because 25,000 benches were sold, and the company isn't willing to take a $200 loss on each item is absurd.
Me thinks people need a hobby.
