Baby falls asleep as soon as she attaches.

My one week old baby falls asleep as soon as she latches on. I have tried touching her legs with a cold rag, but that only works for a few seconds. Tapping her cheek doesn't work either. Has anyone else had this problem? I was having a hard time producing milk at first, but now I'm making enough to feed her, but she won't stay awake to eat! Bottles are no problem for her :(

Please help...

BF'ing is hard work.  Which is probably why she falls asleep when latched on and not for a bottle.  Try undressing her down to her diaper, keeping the lights on, talking to her, and continute to try to cold wash rag on her feet.  My LO is also ticklish on his lower back so touching him there worked well for us.

In another week or two your LO should get better at staying awake BF'ing if you keep practicing.  Keep up the good work!

You might try switch nursing. DS was very lethargic and sleepy the first few months and switch nursing can help the baby get more milk. Basically you switch breasts when baby stops actively sucking, and offer each breast twice per feeding.

My DS2 had pretty bad jaundice and was very sleepy because of it. I had to do compressions pretty much the entire time he was latched to keep the milk flowing and keep him suckling.
