Hello Ladies! I was just at a first birthday for a little girl which has me looking (yes I know...VERY early!) for ideas! Just curious what you did for your LO's in terms of themes.

Ah, never too early to plan IMO :) 

We did a pink and green whale theme. It turned out really well, there was so much cute stuff online, especially on Pinterest. We ordered a lot of the supplies online too, and then made a lot of stuff we found on Pinterest. 

I think this year, we are going to do a sock monkey theme. It won't be a huge party like her first birthday, but I'd still like to do a theme. (Let's face it, it's just fun!)

Never too early to plan! We did "Somewhere over the rainbow" because the song says "dreams really do come true" and I just loved it. SO easy to plan and made a TON of things for the party... lots & lots of fun.

We did an animal theme.  I got tons of cute animal stuff at Michaels crafts, hobby lobby and online at party stores.   The theme was super easy and very cute!

We did a fried chicken theme.  LOL.  No, seriously, we didn't have a theme, and we ate fried chicken that we ordered from a local joint.  I am so bad about planning parties. 

For his 2nd birthday, I'm hoping he'll be into a character or something that I can plan around.  If not, I might do something with dogs - he is OBSESSED with them.

We went with a watermelon theme :) It was absolutely perfect for summer and very refreshing to have lots of watermelon-based appetizers and drinks around!

Hey, I was thinking about it too early! We did a 'STACHE BASH for our son. Little mustaches and such. My friend offered to have it at her house (more space) and so DH and I got BBQ and all the food and the cake. For the kids we had furry mustaches and candy mustaches for them to play. My other friend brought their giant blow up water slide and the older kids did that for HOURS. So fun.

We had a garden theme. I made a garden cake - chocolate icing with "dirt" topping, flowers, worms, and a wafer cookie fence around it. Grape caterpillars and cracker/tomato ladybugs, both from pinterest. Silverware and napkins in cute flower pots.

The party was very cute and fun, but unfortunately due to the sweltering heat we had to stay inside the whole time! That may be something to think about with a July bday.

I didn't do a theme. We had a small party in our apartment for some local folks and my uncle hosted a BBQ at his house near my extended family. Honestly first birthday's are a big crazy and someone (usually the guest of honor) melts down.

I did a Ni Hao Kailan/ Asian theme. Mainly because it's original, DD liked her my obession with all things Asian. Pinterest was my savior. Lol I mainly ordered things online. Everyone loved it.

This year I'm doing a Bubble Guppies Pool Party. Yes, I know...I like to challenge myself. Hehe

We did a pool party at SILs house.. We did an underwater theme, so lots of fish and underwater animals. It was the best! DS loves the water
