Baby cries outside of house?

At home she hardly cries. The car ride she is fine. She doesnt mind her car seat at all. But as soon as we go anywhere grandparents or friends house she cries and will not stop until I leave to put her in the car. Then she is back to normal. She is 16 weeks old. Is there anything I can do? Nothing I can do will console her and eventually we just have to leave early.

We went through this earlier...around 6 weeks. We just kept going places until he got used to it. It is probably much louder than what your LO is used to.

Do you babywear at all? My wraps are magic and put my baby to sleep almost every time she is in them...They make almost all outings much easier.

I have never heard of babywear but I don't want her to fall asleep I want her to be awake and interact with people so she will get over this. For those of you are having the same problem I found something that helps big time. As soon as she is in a new home I take her to a room that is quiet and no one else is in it. Once she is calm and in a good mood I bring her out to see everyone. I have everyone limit contact with her. They can talk to her but as soon as I see her frown they walk away. Then once she is calm again they can try again and slowly she warms up to them. Not enough to let ppl hold her yet but at least not cry. It's worked twice now.
