Regardless of love or hate opinions, how would you pronounce it?

Yes...it's one of the oldest Catholic provinces I believe

It's our front runner but MIL hates it and continues to pronounce it "Raveena"... She says it sounds "black"... no offense meant to anyone

Ignore your ignorant, racist MIL and name your kid what you want.  I believe there is also a performance venue outside of Chicago named Ravenna.

In Seattle it's a neighborhood and street pronounced ruh-VEN-uh

 

I've never heard it as a person's name but I like it.
