ER on Christmas morning

Well so I'm in ER at 2 am my ear started hurting again it was fine for a few days so thought was just pain that other day from a cold from LO. Yeah i have a ruptured ear drum. I couldn't sleep or bear the pain so drove to ER was doing paperwork and the pain was unreal! I was crying couldn't sit down. Then popppppop like Rice Krispies in my ear blood was coming out it was so gross. They ran me into a room. Now I'm stuck here drugged up and getting antibiotics dh is home with LO. I'm praying to get out before she gets up. This totally sucks. Our poor babies dealing with ear infections the pain it's unreal even prior to the rupture these poor babes that feel this pain : breaks my heart!!!

I'm so sorry!  Ear infection pain is awful but a ruptured ear drum is even worse and looks/seems so scary!  But it does repair itself, so that's the good news.  Hope the meds fix you up soon!

Thanks this so sucks. I finally stopped throwing up from all the IV pain meds. I can't hear anything but ringing and felt so gross having blood drip all over a paper towel while LO opening presents. Just took a shower with her old take n toss cup covering my ear.
Calling for ENT appointment in morning.
So worth bring home with LO to see her open gifts and have good energy for now with 2 hours sleep.

I'm so sorry! My eardrum burst when I was in hs. It was so painful and for weeks afterward bloody scabs fell out of my ear. Sorry, that was gross.

I hope they gave u some pain meds and that u r feeling better soon.

Thanks feel just as bad. I'm seeing ENT at 2 the scheduler asked me what I was taking and he was like wow that sounds really low awesome thanks ER doc for screwing me and keeping me in pain I cannot wait wait to see this guy and he's over an hour away no one is open today I was like sure will drive anywhere I need help!!
