Kate or Katelin?

I have a Jonathan and Lauren. I was kind of wanting to keep an "n" ending so I thought of Katelin but I've always loved the name Kate. Maybe Kate Elizabeth.

Opinions?

Catherine NN Cate? Wuthering Heights spelling...

I really dislike that spelling of Katelin. It looks like it should be three syllables or something. Katelyn? Somewhat better. Caitlin? Very cute. it's a very little girl name to me though.

What about Katherine?  It ends in the "n" sound and I think would make a good sibset?

If you're not willing to consider another spelling of Katelin then definitely just Kate.

I prefer Katherine with the nn Kate (that is my DD's name), but if you like Kate I think it is find as a stand alone name.

Kate Elizabeth is pretty, but I'll warn you that literally every Kate I know who is "just Kate" has the middle name Elizabeth.  I know three Kate Elizabeths. 

I love Lauren and Jonathan.  It is a shame you dislike Katherine so much because it does sound good as a sibset.  Have you considered Kathleen?  I have a friend who goes by Kate but her full name is Kathleen.

I like either.  If you like the spelling of Katelin, I say keep it.  She's your baby.  You could name her Katelin and use Kate as her nn.  Do you like the way Katelin sounds when you say it?  Do you like the way it looks when you write it using that spelling?  You might not want to listen to me, though...I've been accused of using the dreaded "you-neek" spelling of a name AND for replacing an "i" with a "y"...gasp!  Good luck!  :)
