First IUI Cramping

We just had our first IUI yesterday at 8:45am. I hadn't ovulated yet, and he assured me that was normal, as my trigger shot was exact 36 hours earlier. My RE is expecting 34 eggs to ovulate.

So my question is this, I am having some serious discomfort in my uterus. It's definitely a throbbing cramping feeling. It'd been going on since I woke up at 5am. It almost feels like a low gas pain, but won't go away after going to the bathroom.

Should I be worried? What is your postIUI experience and did it result in a BFP or BFN?

PCOS and Anovulation
Ectopic Pregnancy in 2010
HSG revealed Right Blocked FT in 2011
DH Low- Average S/A
2011: 6 cycles of Clomiphene Citrate
Nov. 2012: Diagnostic Hysteroscopy/Lap. procedure to remove sub-septum in Uterus
Dec. 2012: Bravelle Injections with 1st IUI Treatment
Praying for little one(s)- twins even!

It's normal. I had cramping with both IUIs. One was positive and one was negative. Go relax and enjoy your day! Good luck!

Yes! Oh my goodness, I had so much cramping the day of and the day after. (Mostly the day of though.) It felt like really bad gas cramps, but I was afraid to let loose or poop because I was afraid that the pressure I was going to leak the sperm out (irrational, I know) so I think that made it worse?

ETA: Still awaiting the verdict on our first cycle. Cramping can go either way later in the cycle, and this early on I'm sure it doesn't really mean much of anything.
My Ovulation Chart
TTC with MFI and poor ovulation since 03/11
TCM and progesterone supplements
Early loss in 08/11
MFI Dx in 03/12 Low count, low motility, poor morphology and high levels of anti-sperm antibodies
Treated with supplements and TCM. Much lower on all factors. Count too low to test for anti-bodies
Met with new urologist 11/12
IUI #1 12/12: Letrozole + Gonal-F = BFN
DH started Clomid 01/13
New SA shows 33 million sperm! Thank you Clomid!!!
Discovered I am hypothyroid 04/13 waiting for specialist appointment
Hoping to try IUI again in July?

I had a lot of cramping an hour after iui, which I thought was my timed ovidrel ovulation. Needless to say this last cycle I ended up with a BFN.

TTC Since 6/12 regular periods ME-33, unexplained IF DH-34, healthy 10/12 50mg of clomid-no response-BFN 11/12 100mg of clomid-1 mature follicle-IUI #1=BFN 12/8/12 clear HSG 12/12 100mg of clomid-2 mature follicles-IUI #2=BFN 1/13 5mg femara un-monitored TI, BFN 2/13 7.5mg femara 2 mature follicles, IUI#3 BFN 3/13 7.5MG femara TI=BFN 3/29 Hysteroscopy-looked perfect 4/1 Started Acupuncture for my IVF cycle 4/13 IVF #1 .75 Menopur & 150 Gonal-F 4/24 ER 10 eggs retrieved, 7 Fertilized. 4/29 ET 6 Blasts, Put 2 back in and froze 4. 5/7 BFP!!! 5/17 1 gestational sac! I'm cautiously optimistic!

I just completed my first IUI cycle. Unfortunately it ended with a BFN. I did have a lot of cramping the day after, but that went away by 4dpiui. Good luck to you on your first IUI!!
