Happy Holidays and a formula ?

Happy Holidays all! Hope everyone who is celebrating is having a great day with their family.

So two days ago I switched DS to soy formula (not by my pedi choice but by my own research and talking to other reflux moms, I figured I would try it.)  Everything was peachy until today when he woke up very fussy and it got worse throughout the day. He also woke up with a little cold and of course it's the holidays and we were visiting family so I'm sure he is beyond over stimulated. My question is, how do I know if it's the formula bothering him or just general cold/sickness and or over stimulation? He has been on the new formula for 48 hours, if he was going to have a bad reaction to the new formula would he already have or is this time frame right for having symptoms of a bad switch show? Does this make sense at all?

In my experience L has a reaction within hours. Fussy? What does that entail? Nothing but activity has changed for us over the holidays and is a cranky, gassy mess today. If she were breaking out or something else with her 'fussiness' then I would question what was going on.

I'd give it a little time if he's not showing any signs other than extra fussiness.  DS1 had bad constipation when he first tried soy, but it took a few days to determine that.

The holidays + cold is enough to make any baby fussy.  We're battling that here as well.  Give it a little more time so that you don't keep switching up his formula.

thanks, my gut says its just being sick/overstimulation, but DH thinks its the formula. Everything was great until today and I really think if it was the formula, we would have seen fussiness sooner.
