Can I just vent?!

If you have been around this board long enough, chances are you have seen at least one of my DH stories. Here is another.

We have 2 California king mattresses in our house which both have big heavy comforters that dont fit in our washing machine so I bring then to a local laudromat that has a huge machine for that purpose. I drop them off and the people wash,dry and fold them. So this morning, DH drops both of the comforters off and says they will be ready by 6 tonight. Ok good, He knows that is Brants nap time so I just assumed he would go get them. He and his friends will be gone all this weekend from Friday morning through Sunday night riding four wheelers in another state so they all decide to get together tonight and work on them. DH tells me to expect him home no earlier than midnight. In the meantime i totally forget about the comforters until now. Well, Brant is asleep in the car and I do not want to wake him up to bring him in for the two seconds it will take to get the blankets. I called every non mother friend I have to come ride with me, which isnt many, and they are all busy. So now, i am in a position of whether to leave him in the car while i run in or wake him up and bring him in. The more I have to think about it, the more it p!sses me off. Why be so frucking inconsiderate and selfish. It would have taken the man 2 minutes to go get the damm blankets and bring them home with no fuss. Luckily, there was a freaking DJ that I use to be friends with that happened to be doing his laundry and was willing to stand by the car while I ran in. Did he just not care enough to think about me holding his wiggling son while lugging out 2 huge comforters and then load them in the car?! I just dont understand.

What sucks is that I am stuck in the situation. If we separate, I have to go back to work and B is stuck in day care which I just realllly dont want to have happen. I guess i just suck it up and deal as long as possible.

I'm really bored and I'm letting DS nap on me since the teething devil has entered him. I don't post much but I lurk a lot. To kill some time, here are a few randoms about fellow bumpies I have to share:

Ellcore - I need to know why that guy is saying, "pudding!" while taking down his pants. I don't get it but I love it!!

Ziegeficker - I effing love the diva Harry Potter heads. I seriously will watch your sig several times before scrolling past a post of yours.

Navy&Violet - From your tiny avatar picture, you look so much like a woman I used to work with that is super awesome. I don't talk to her anymore, and every time I see a post of yours it makes me smile and makes me miss her all at once .

BandEddie - Even though I know it is "B and Eddie" I still always read it as "Band Eddie." I think you need to make your children play instruments and give their band this name.

Rachelmichelle1 - You are hilarious. Glad you are back in action. What is your avatar pic? Are you a roller-derby lady?

Dotmbc - I looove the "I heart Boobies" shirt. Your photo always makes me smirk.

Everyone with a sig pic - Whenever you change it I feel like I don't know you for a little while... so weird, I know!

I am sure I will think of more but I need to figure out getting this boy off of me so I can use the bathroom... dammmmit! Anyone have more to add?

LO has been in a cranky mood the past couple of days. She already has her bottom 2 teeth. When do the top ones start coming? She is so whiny and she seems to have started the separation anxiety phase and very clingy.

My husband left out of town for business for a couple nights and this evening was horrible. She refused to take a nap and cried for what seemed like forever in her swing until I got her out. I met all of her needs she just didn't want to go down for a nap.

I saw on another thread someone mention a crawling/pulling up on everything/teething phase. Is there a 7 1/2 month growth spurt?

I started the bedtime routine early because I started not feeling well and she thankfully went with it. Anyone else experiencing this? Is it a phase or is it something more that I should be looking in to?

Clothes maketh the baby

Have you noticed what a big difference different colours/clothes make to your LO? My little girl is often in pink, so when she wears another colour she looks so different. I especially notice it when she wears blue - I think she still looks like a little girl, but a different little girl. Hard to explain.

Last night my DH put her into a black onesie. It was SO cute, but made her look SO different, maybe funkier or something. It's weird seeing a baby dressed in black.

When is your baby's last feeding for the night?

I can't remember when we stopped the last night feeding for DD#1. With DD #2 we feed her around dinner time with solids and then she usually falls asleep around 7:30 and we end up dream feeding her around 9 or 9:30 before putting her down for the night. What do you do? Trying to remember when that last feeding should stop...

Any EP's left here?

In two days, it will mark my 7 months of EPing.

I am currently doing 4 sessions a day and keep up with her eating. I am thinking out going down to three next week and going into the freezer stash a little every day.

Just curious if anyone else is still at it and when you plan on stopping.

Convertible seat for small car?

H was in a car accident on the way home today. I don't think I would go so far as to call it a fender bender, but he is totally fine, and it was not that bad. Thankfully, he was alone, but the base for our infant seat was in his car, and I'm thinking we should just get a convertible carseat instead of replacing it. He has a small car, and C is a tiny baby... Like not yet 15 pounds. Suggestions? Also, this is the lesser used seat. I do both drop off and pick up. Though, go figure, he was supposed to get her tonight because I had a really important meeting... Of course!

Teething tablets

Hyland's teething tablets - Anyone use them? Ask their pediatrician about them? I called, but it's after 4 so I probably won't hear until tomorrow. I have only used them once because Ev was SCREAMING and I don't want to keep giving him Motrin. I know about the recalls and possible negative stuff...just wondering what your experience is with them. Thank you!

So I did the couch to 5k ages ago, like before my first baby and it worked really well for me. I decided to give it a go and also realized I'd forgotten some things at the store yesterday....so I decided to combine the two. Mind you the way to the store is slightly up hill the whole way and quite up hill part of the way. I did it though! When I got to the store I sat in the shade drinking water and trying not to barf, haha. I was pretty impressed though that I could totally do it, the last time I did c 2 5k it was way harder at the beginning despite the hills AND pushing the stroller.

The biggest challenge now will be sticking to my small snack AND jogging on a daily basis. Living in our new city though is serious motivation.... the REAL real housewives of OC are 90% gorgeous, including my new neighbor.... she's older than me, but seriously, a barbie.

I know there are rules against spamming the board, so I'm not going to post the link. There is a movie being made called Return to Zero, it's a real movie... it has Minnie Driver amongst other people in it. It's a movie about stillbirth, made by a man who went through it himself. My parents donated money and my son's name will be in the credits. They are starting a campaign trying to get people to pledge to see the movie opening weekend, they have to prove to hollywood that there is an audience for this movie in order to get it into theaters.

It will be a hard movie to watch, but it needs to be seen! Going through a loss like that is so unbelievably isolating because nobody talks about it. It happens to you and you think you're the only one because that kind of thing "doesn't happen anymore." There is a movement going on to break the silence and let us share our stories.

Anyways... I'll get off my soap box now, but if you want to pledge to see it please PM me and I'll send you the link. <3

ETA: there's a place where it asks for your "local leader", that's just people who promised to help spread the word, so that would be me.

Mothers morning out prices

I was thinking about sending DD to a mothers morning out two mornings a week next fall and then just have her babysitter come for 4-5 hours once a week like she currently does. I was checking out the ones where DS went and am hesitating since there won't be much difference in hiring a sitter. It ranges from $185-200 per month and that's two mornings three hrs each. I would provide snack and personal care items. This does not include the yearly registration fee of $100-200 depending on the site. If I go for three days its much better at around $6/hr but I don't know if I want or need three days and the sitter...I need the sitter for the afternoon hours.

Does this seem high? I can get a qualified sitter for $8-10 / hr. They all have raised their prices since I last checked... Also is it worth it with all the germy kids she'll be around?

Sinusitis

DS1 is at the last day of his meds for sinusitis. His nose is all cleared up and he's definitely feeling TONS better, but he still has a terrible cough! I'm wondering if I should call the Dr to find out what to do next...

I keep seeing on FB people dedicating this and that...wtf? Though I never see my old school running friends or professional friends doing this...just seems to be the attention whores...

And not just for the tiny cuteness! At least I got to sleep! This is f-ing crazy! She's starting to act tired...aNd I need to get up in a few to get DS ready for school and leave myself by 7...which means she will sleep the entire time I am gone and be up for the entire day and most of the evening by the time I return or shortly after I get home (around 9). This makes me crazy! How is it that she slept better at night brand new and not now? And the latest is she won't stay down, she only wants to stand up. She stood up in sher crib for over thirty minutes and cries tonight.

LO is mopping my floors

We have hardwood floors and for the longest time, I've been putting DS on blankets on the floor. Although he's still not crawling, he pivots so much that the blanket just keeps bunching up, so this AM I did away with the blankets and put him on the bare floors.

DS is a MAJOR drooler - I'm talking puddles of drool! So now, he's drooling onto the floor and then mopping the floor with his clothes when he pivots around. Ha, one less household chore for me to do!
