I mean screaming. DH says she is just mad because she woke up. But I am really suspecting teething. Poor girl. Last night I got her back down in 10 minutes and she slept 9 hours. Tonight I got her back down in 5 only for her to wake up screaming more. DH just got her back down. I though we were down with the 4 month wakeful but maybe not quite yet.

We have also had company over all weekend. Brother came from down south and my friend came from up north. So lots of out of the ordinary things going on too which we all know throws off so much in their little lives. Hoping for sleep now.

Running and EBF?

Hi Mommas

After four months of taking it easy after a c section birth, I'm looking to start working on getting my prepregnancy shape back with some running. Not marathons, just two to three miles a couple of days a week. My concern is will it affect milk supply? We EBF and I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize supply. I'm not pumping now, but I will next month after I go back to work. Anyone have any experience adding exercise back into your routine while EBF? Thanks!

The gods are testing me...

So I wake up to C fussing which is really abnormal only to find him mid blow out. Doc told us to keep it moisturized. Now he has it on the backside of

out using J&J, then moved to Burt's Bees (nurses recommended it),
then changed out his baby wash to BB as well. Then we stopped bathing
him as much, but continue to moisturize. But this seems to be getting
worse, not better.

On top of that, he has cradle cap - not
terrible, but it is there. When we try to treat it, his poor head goes

Usually I'll pump one more time at home to get the extra ounce or so for the next day. Is the purpose of mixing formula and breast milk to add a little more to a bottle? I don't remember when the congestion came but I know at 6 weeks DS started having a cough and runny nose and it seems it just never went away. We have had brief periods where he just sounded congested and did not cough so much but those times only lasted a day or two. His eyes water almost every time I feed him. His dr does not seem worried because DS is so happy, he sleeps for the most part...he wakes up coughing some I give him his paci and turn on the sea horse and he goes back to sleep. this usually happens about 4 times throughout the night. Also he eats but only eats 2426 oz a day and was only 13 lb 15oz at his 4 month checkup putting him in the 25 for weight. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same experience? We have one small dog and my sister who watches him during the week has a dog and cat. If anyone has any helpful insight I would love to hear it. We are going to visit them in a couple weeks, but I've been having a lot of anxiety about LO meeting some of them for the first time.

I'm mostly concerned with DH's side of the family. They have been in tears and somewhat depressed that they haven't seen LO yet since he's been born. (Our plans to visit have kept getting delayed.) I'm worried because since DH' family has been anticipating seeing LO so much, what if they are sick or something and don't tell us, just so they can see him? We probably won't see his relatives again until Christmas. One time I posted a picture of LO on facebook and one of DH's aunts commented "I can't wait to see you so we can play kissy face!" Uhm, no! I don't want anyone to kiss my baby other than DH and me. What do I do if someone tries to kiss him and be polite about the situation?

On my side of the family, I have two aunts that smoke. They don't really smell that bad, but I still know they smoke and their hair smells like smoke a bit even though they have cleaned up. I don't want them to hold LO because they smoke. I feel like this is a bit unfair to them, but I need to stick up for my LO and his health. How do I approach that situation?

Or am I just being super selfish about everything? DH and I don't have family or friends nearby, so we don't have to share LO with others very often. I don't think I mind sharing him, but I'm just concerned about those couple of things. And I'm just hoping he won't be too overwhelmed with all of the attention.

Thanks!

RNP

I was wondering if my kid is the only one still in the RNP? She was kind of restless last night, so I'm sure it's probably time to make the switch.

Terrible cold

So my DH got a nasty sinus infection last week and since then me and both the boys have come down with a cold. DD is up wanting to eat at 11, 2, 5, and right now but will go all day never really wanting to eat.

I offer every 2 to 3 hours during the day but she's EBF and doesn't seem all too interest so I'm thinking she's not eating enough during the day. Any pointers on how to encourage the chane? She's been doing this "4 month wakefulness" for the past 6 weeks and for my sanity i really need more than 2 and a half hour of sleep at a time.

The past 2 nights I've only offered 1 breast at each feeding hoping if she eats less she'll make up for it during the day. She went to sleep for her regular stretches so I don't think it was a big deal not offering the second and I always offer during the day but I don't think she's actually eating.

Flu

I have the flu and I'm petrified that LO will get it. Does anyone here struggle with one bad boob. I am constantly having issues on the left side, mastitis, chapped, cracked nipples. The right side is fine no problems. It's not a supply issue it's more like my anatomy.

Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions that have helped you?

need suggestions!! At 10 weeks DS sstn in crib for 2 weeks and then came down with bronchial infection. While sick, he slept best when snuggling (of course) and has been sleeping in our bed ever since. Also, for the last month he wakes to BF every hour. While it's convenient to just roll over and nurse, I'm SOOO READY to have my bed back.

Also, its been difficult to get him to get a couple hours of sleep right off the bat. He'll get 6 to 8 oz for the last bottle. He'll doze off and as soon as you lay him down, he cries. We let him CIO for about 10 min, bc by now he's super pissed. So I nurse him to calm him down and he falls asleep and we try again. We do this about 3 times or so and then I just say screw it and let him sleep with us. We all need sleep!! If he does stay asleep when you lay him in crib, it only lasts about 30-45 min.

He naps at the sitter for up to 3 hrs at a time. She says he falls asleep after bottle or swing and he's out. I can never get him to nap very long. It's so frustrating....

At this point, I'm open to suggestions on what has worked for you. Even if he wakes for a feeding at night is fine. I just want him out of my bed! Sttn would just be a bonus!

FFFC

I find myself shopping in the "adult" sections of clothes stores now. I don't know what you call them ... the woman's section?? Until recently, I still would check out the junior sections first, but I am finding less and less that I like there. Am I growing up?

My son is 1.5 months late for his 20 month appointment. We had to cancel the original appointment for some reason, and then my car was in the shop for 3 weeks. Now I have to make phone calls because of issues with our new health insurance. I should be dealing with this right now, but I am playing online instead. I feel guilty because this is throwing off his vaccination schedule.

We don't have a washer/dryer in my current home. My mom and I took her for a combined mothers day/my birthday celebration for three days. It was fantastic!

We rode 6 rides, she loved Small World and Aladdin's Magic Carpets. She was putting her arms out like she was flying! It was so adorable. She also met over 10 characters and the pictures are SO precious! She loved Ariel and Cinderella the most. She also really liked Minnie. We had her in a little Snow White dress with Snow White and a Tink costume with Tink. I would love to post pics but hubby would kill me : He is too scared of creeps on the interwebs.

This trip was by far my best. We have annual passes and Ive been well over 20 trips in the last 7 years, but this was my favorite. The memories and pictures are priceless.

If anyone wants tips for babies at Disney PM me!

And all you who think it's stupid to take a baby don't know what you're missing! :P
