Clear Cervical Mucus or Amniotic Fluid?

I'm two days past my due date and was told on Wednesday that I am 2 cm dialted, 50% effaced, and the baby is at a -1 position.

Added to this, I have an external yeast infection (TMI- but I'm very itchy/burny on my labia and clitorus) and have been told to use the anti-itch cream and suppositories from Monistat externally to help clear it out. I have been doing this the two days already.

I've noticed that I've been a LOT wetter down there on top of it all. It's clear and watery, like I'm sexually excited.

Is this cervical mucus, possibly being generated because I'm slowly effacing and dialating? Could it be a really slow amniotic fluid leak? Or is it coming from my yeast infection trying to heal? I've been feeling crampy and having on again, off again sacral pain, but nothing regular to indicate labor.

So does anyone else notice that most of the kicks and movement occurs on one side of their belly? Baby J is currently head down and I constantly feel most of the kicks and punches on the left side of my belly, unless I lay on that side then it shifts to the other side..Anyone else experience this?

Beta Strep Test

Well, I'll be 35 weeks monday and the following week I have to get the beta strep test. A few people who've had babies have told me they used clamps during it and that scares me i don't trust clamps it just doesn't seem safe. It's making me very nervous and really afraid I don't want anything bad to happen..... I just want to know if it is safe. :(

Could it be soon? 37 weeks

Had dr appt today! 2-3 cm dilated, 90% thinned and head is in a good position.....Oh baby please come!!!

I have heard great things about the miracle but the halo bottom up zipper seems convienient.

ok so my two year old tossed her sisters carseat down the stairs and the manufactor and my doctor told me to throw it away and get a new one, Only problem is that my hospital dont give you one, there aren't any local programs to get one cheaper and i cant afford the $80-$100 to get a new one. Does anyone know of a online way of getting a baby trend or graco infant carseat Cheap!! and ASAP im due in 10 weeks and my doctor is talking about inducing me early!! Thanks in advance

Mucus but not the plug?

I didn't see my plug at all till I had my membranes stripped a 2nd time at 42 weeks with #1. I am experiencing all kinds of "feelings" with #2 that I didn't with #1, like low, painless contractions, etc...Last night I wiped and a huge glob of gross yellow mucus came out, only once. It was definitely not the plug, though. Is this at least a sign of..something? I have no idea, since this is essentially the first time my body might be doing "labor". you know? Thanks!

Im due june 17th and were almost finished working on the nursery etc. I have a few packs of wipes and diapers, but thats it. Not sure if I should stock up big time or just buy as we go?

Hi ladies, I was just wondering if anyone is nauseous in their third trimester? I felt a little sick a few days ago and again today. It's slight and not as bad as during my first trimester but its still there. Does morning sickness come back in the third trimester?

This is stressing me out a little bit. One of my very best friends is getting married in mid-July. LO still has not arrived yet....I am 40+2. However, I need to send my response to this wedding. I can't imagine NOT being there. But, at the same time.....am I really going to want to leave my new baby with someone else (probably MIL) at only about 6 weeks of age?

It's an evening wedding...begins at 6:30....

What are your thoughts? Would you RSVP yes? No? Advice is SO appreciated.

My 4 year old was born at 36 weeks and 3 days, anyone know or been effaced so early on and make it to there Due Date, as of right now I have yet to make it to my DD.

Mine is so extremely outdated and nothing I do works to get rid of the old stuff, it's driving me nuts!

My Dd is 4 1/2 now. I'm due 6/24 with Dd #2. I did email thebump but got no response.

Childbirth Classes

I apologize if there's already a post on this, my mobile is acting up and won't let me search for anything!

Did anyone here not take the childbirth classes from the hospital or are not planning too? BTDT moms did you not take a class and regret it? Did you wish you hadn't taken the class once you were done with it? Does it actually help?

The classes here cost a couple hundred so I'm just gauging opinions on if I really need to take them or if ill be fine without!

We bought a ton of baby's R Us diapers- are those the ones you used with your DD? We found the boxes (72+ diapers) on sale for $4 and found it hard to resist. I figure if nothing else, I will sell them online or donate them to a shelter. We probably have enough for baby's first year- just like you said you did. Did you like Babys R Us diapers, or did you try something else?

Extreme swollen feet/ankels??

My feet and ankles are extremely swollen. I can barely bend my toes. The worse they have been up to this point.
I stand on my feet all day for work. Tonight I didn't get to relax much either. Having had a winter baby my feet did not swell like this at all with my first pregnancy.
Is this sometning to be concerned about?? Or just something that comes with pregnancy?? Any tips to help relieve the swelling??

36 week checkup

So I went today for a checkup and my LO heartbeat was 170180 so the doctor checked it again before I left. And it had gone down to 150's. kind of scary. He just said monitor babies movement. Anybody have an expirrance like this ?

Suddenly feeling light headed?

Hi All

I was sitting waiting for my ultrasound today (everything good and normal :)) and suddenlly got really light headed. I had my dr appointment earlier today and everything was good and normal. Anyone else experience this? It was really strange, it lasted for about 2 seconds and i felt fine afterwards.

Found out he is measuring big which we new already because that's why we got the ultrasound. He is measuring at 37 weeks and is 8lbs and 3oz. I am only 35 weeks. Has this happened to anyone. This is my first child so idk what to expect. Do you think they'll change my due date? Also have had many trips to the hospital for false labor.. Do you think this could be why, that im farther along?

It's annoying to me sometimes and my husband tells me to chill sometimes because I get SO mad, should I take it as advice or them pushing their ways of raising a child on us? Has anyone broken their pelvis?

I am curious if anyone on here has broken their pelvis before? If yes, are you attempting to deliver vaginally or having a C-Section? Or even better, if you have already had kids since breaking your pelvis what did you do? I broke my pelvis 7 years ago and it healed without any complications (that we know of). My doctor is letting me attempt to deliver vaginally but said we might end up with a C-Section. I am curious to hear other people's experiences. :) Thanks!

Im currently 38 weeks pregnant. This pregnancys been one complicaton after another, and right when it was starting to get easier I got told my cervix is behind my sons head. I guess that is the cause and reason for my checks putting me in tears because of pain and spotting for two days after each check. According to my dr at 36 week I was 1 cm diolated and 80% thinned. She said the same thing for my 37 week check, and now for my 38 week check. Im worried, is this normal or not? Ive tested negative for preclampsnia since i show signs of it, but my dr wants to retest me next week too.

Group b strep screen

Question about the group B strep screen..when my dr does any screen on me, she'll call during the week after and let me know results, even if everything looks normal/fine. On this screen though, I haven't got any call. I probably shouldn't be worried but I am. What are the chances of getting it, and is this something that she would wait to tell me in person? I'm probably just paranoid but I'm a FTM and just want everything to go ok
