He is such a good baby and started sleeping from 9pm-5am in his crib without any wakeups. Its amazing. Only problem is the daytime sleep. If you lay him down in his crib, rock and play, or even bouncy seat he wakes within 15 minutes.

I get some relief by wearing him in my boba carrier but I have a very busy 2.5 year old with me too.

Anyone have any suggestions for naps?

Effects of 1st round of immunizations

What effects, if any, did you notice in your LO after their 2 month immunizations? LO got her 1st round yesterday and was fine last night and this morning, but has gotten really fussy this afternoon/evening and nursed around the clock since about 2pm. She also struggled to go to sleep tonight and has definitely not had a problem with that lately. She didn't get much in terms of naps this afternoon, so she could def be overtired, but I'm just wondering if anyone else had similar effects after the shots. Thanks!

Another PP period question

I'm sure it's been asked answered but I'm too lazy to look. Yesterday I was home alone with her, as I usually am when DH is working, and she was exceptionally cranky and fussy. She had a hard time falling asleep for naps and could only fall asleep if I was holding her. I had to bounce her around in my arms sometimes to calm her down. Mind you, she's almost 14 lbs and I'm not exactly iron woman. My body was hurting. I took her to the mall, and she cried any time I stopped, so I had to keep moving. She had been like this the day before as well. By the end of the day yesterday I was so utterly exhausted I cried.

So today my husband is home from work. I made an appointment to get my hair done and wanted to do some errands while he watched the baby. I was concerned about him being able to handle her by himself. After I got my hair done, I checked in with DH, and he reported that she had been napping and eating peacefully and everything was fine. I went on with my errands, and when I came home, DH reported essentially that LO had been a near perfect angel. What?! DH must think I'm lying about her behavior during the day!

I'm sure this is probably quite normal for many babies. Sure keeps me on my toes not knowing which baby I will have when we wake up!

magic sleep suit

Second post I have heard this magic sleep suit mentioned..tell me about it

exclusively pumping

does anyone here exclusively pump and bottle feed? Initially she had trouble latching and was jaundiced, so we had to start supplementing right away. I have been using a hospital grade pump to help establish my milk supply, which has worked great. I have more milk stored than she needs, which has gotten me thinking about just pumping and bottle feeding. I keep telling him how lucky we are she just eats then sleeps that I consider it STTN for a 10 week old (she's been on this routine for a good 5 weeks).

Blanket in crib

My daughter still sleeps in her bassinet. She is 10 weeks today and soon she will out grow the bassinet. I have not feel comfortable moving her to the crib. She seems floating in it. We use blanket to tuck her securely in the bassinet we feel safe since she is in our room. But the crib is in her bedroom. I don't know the best way to transition her. Anyone use any method to keep their lo from waking up by startle them with kicking. Do you use blanket to secure then or anything else?

Baby bath wash

Evening! I feel so bad because nothing is helping. I've tried gripe water, gas drops, colic tabs, bicycling his legs, and letting him sleep on his belly in his boppy or on myself/DH..
because of this neither my baby or myself has slept very much and I feel so awful that I am not helping him...
I also haven't been able to sleep in bed as I have been sleeping on the couch with the baby. I feel guilty that i'm neglecting my husband. I know he doesn't feel this way but I do.
I know i'm just feeling this way because i'm tired and feel like i'm being a bad mom. But the guilt is overwhelming..
Thanks for letting me rant

personal question... sex life?

I had my pp apt the other day and was given the go-ahead to return to all regular Activity and I'm somewhere between excited and nervous. I'm sure that is a normal feeling, but I've heard PP sex can be extremely painful.

For those mom's who have already been there, did you experience much pain? Could you hardly wait or did you find yourself still needing a little more time?
