Success after IF

I just wanted to intro over here. I won't get into my whole story since it's long. We've had lots of losses and failed cycles but are so fortunate to have 2 little boys through fertility treatments. DS1 is 3 and DS2 was born on Thursday. It's a little hectic right now, but hopefully I can participate more soon. I see a lot of familiar faces. Looking forward to talking to you ladies!

I hate TTC.

I was so excited to have ewcm for the first time EVER last week (a la my previous TMI post), but after having sex once with it we couldn't follow up with any more because I had some serious pain for two days, to where it hurt to sit/stand (if I had been doing treatments I would've thought I had OHSS or something, but I think it was just fun s/e from the Metformin).

So now I'm just counting the days for AF so we can get this show on the road again, lol! I don't want to head back to the RE yet but I'll be ready to in a couple months. I'm such a control freak and really trying to not live by the calendar -- and I'm much better about it this time around, but still.

Please tell me I'm not the only one!

I'm am currently 19dpiui on my 2nd medicated iui with femara and bravelle. DH and I have been ttc for 8 years and had 1 confirmed mc after 1st iui. Last night I got my first ever bfp on a hpt and I am on cloud 9!! I had taken several years off these boards but it is great to be back!

So the diagnosis is...

Took M to the pediatrician earlier today, and he was diagnosed with hand-foot-mouth disease. The PA saw a canker sore on his tongue (which I totally missed), and multiple sores at the back of his throat. :(

Considering all that, M's been a trooper. He's still pretty happy when he's awake, eating well etc. It's just that his sleep & nap has gone down the toilet. The PA said that by the time the rash shows up, it's towards the tail-end of the illness. I hope that's true cuz we all need some good sleep! I gave him some motrin after we got home and hopefully he can nap longer than 30 minutes.

She took a bottle!! We have tried a few times and she would scream bloody murder! She won't take a pacifier and other than a nipple or knuckle, she won't suck on anything. I bought a calma nipple and my DH got her to take 2.5 oz with almost no fight at all!! She nursed after also. I'm so proud of her! We both teared up, lol!

We are both in my brother's wedding at the end of June so I need have her take a bottle from my cousin during the ceremony and I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen!

seasonal allergies in LO

Maybe I'm way off here but I think C may have seasonal allergies. He woke up this morning as stuffy as could be but the congestion is all thin and clear, his eyes are all watery, and he's sneezing tons. Everything has just started blooming here and I've had the windows open (except in his room) because the weather has been so nice. Anyone else have LOs with seasonal allergies already? They seem so little for this.

Or it could just be the start of a cold and I'm crazy ;)

I want to breast feed little A for a year exclusively but lately have had a major supply issue and have had to supplement with formula. Little A just eats more than I can supply. I have been EP but wanted to go back to breatfeeding when he developed thrush so that is not an option at the moment. I am currently trying everything to increase my supply this includes....Mothers Milk Tea 2 - 3 times a day, Lactation Cookies (which I must say are pretty damn good), and Fenugreek capsules. I just started this and am hoping by the end of the week my milk will squirt across the room lol. I have also been pumping every 2 hours for 15 - 20 minutes. FX all this works

Can We Talk Naps?

Around when did your LO's start consolidating naps? S is 13 weeks and naps horribly. She cat naps and tends to wake after 15 mins, seems energized and then a half hour later is tired and goes back down. How long she stays after that point varies. 15 mins...30, or if were lucky, 45 mins.

Do I just need to tough it out until she's a little older? Any tips or suggestions? I was thinking of swaddling her like we do at bedtime, but i don't want to get her into the habit since I don't want to swaddle her once she starts rolling over. She currently rolls up on her side so it's only a matter of time.

And just like clock work, she's up 10 mins in. Lordy.

She had such a bad day at daycare. She only took a half hour nap at 11 and stayed up screaming and crying most of the time. She did eat which is good. But she now has horrible diaper rash. She cried when I changed her diaper and was gasping for air. It must sting so bad. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that she pooped 6 times while there.

I am so sad for her. She was so excited to see me when I got there so I know she missed me. She is swaddled, fed and passed out on me right now. I refuse to put her down. Thank God I'm off tomorrow.

PG or not? Talk about mixed signals!

Had clear signals with 6 mo old DD..sore nipples, heightened sense of smell, cramps. Perfect pregnancy...loved it...nothing after 7 weeks and she was born perfectly just before 37 wks. She was a 3dt. Did a 5dt last Sunday and did have cramping Wed-Fri (mostly Thurs), but nothing else. Did an HPT this AM and neg (7dp5dt). Super faint 2nd line if you looked very closely, so I'm not reading into that. But 1/2 hour after I woke up and had a sip of water...BAM...stumbled upstairs, handed the baby monitor to DH, and laid down. Soo dizzy. Ended up scooting into Grace's room on my butt when she and DH were playing (have a history of falling, but that's sue to low blood sugar if I don't eat...not the case here). Just sat in her bathroom for 1/2 hr with a clamy sweat and overwhelming sense I need to throw up. 2 hours later, I finally am beginning to feel better. Very confused. Has this dizziness/nausea happened to anyone just 7dpt?

Which Would You Choose?

At my OB appointment yesterday I asked about having the MaterniT21 blood test and my doctor said I could, however then I couldn't have the NT scan at 12 weeks (insurance reasons). I ended up just sticking with the NT scan and usual bloodwork, but now I'm wondering if I should go with the MT21 blood test instead. From what I read it seems a bit more accurate than the NT scan ....

Which one would you do/have you done?

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc.

LURKER From IF Weight and IVF

So, I'm getting ready to start our first IVF. I am about 10-15 pounds heavier than I would like to be (which is still over what the BMI suggests) I'm 5'10 and around 225. I've always been a bigger girl, big bones etc.

Does weight and a successful IVF have a huger correlation? I don't want to spend all that money and it not work because I'm "too fat." Can anyone give me some advice, please?

Not looking for advice just hoping somebody here can understand...

i already have baby fever! Both DH and I would love to have another ASAP. Here's my dilemma,

We are lucky to have 7 frosties. But this fact makes me feel irresponsible TTC on our own. After seeing my beautiful baby I know I want to give each of those snow babies a chance.

I guess this is just a vent, because no one could convince me otherwise, but it sucks that everything has to be so planned out because of this. I can't just "wing it" or have that special moment of surprising DH because I have to wean LO and schedule FETs. Plus, I want to get pregnant soon, I'd love to have babies close together but I also know I want to BF for at least 7-8 months and can't start any protocol before that's over and done with- I'm sad thinking about it already! IF sucks.

baby rolling over at night?

hi ladies-

baby boy started rolling over a week ago - as of yesterday he taught himself how to roll from belly back to his back, so we considered it a good day! unfortunately now he's started to roll in his sleep from back to belly (or i should say from side to belly since he seems to love side sleeping). he's swaddles only from the chest down so both arms are free. however he keeps waking himself up in the night when he goes onto his belly - dh and i don't know if he scares himself or if he's just uncomfortable. but he's not putting himself back to sleep. we tried a little bit of CIO last night and it did not go well. any ideas? should we try sleeping him unswaddled to see if he can roll back onto his back? it just stinks bc he kicks his legs constantly so the swaddle helps chill him out at bedtime. any ideas would be awesome - we just started having some good nights and now i'm afraid that we're headed for disaster again haha (especially since DD now looks like she's going to start rolling soon). THX!

6w1d...is this normal???

Today I went for my first u/s. Our little one measured at 6w1d, just as I expected. He said that it was the size of a blueberry. But, what I didn't expect is that there was no heartbeat or anything in the sac. Is this normal?? My OB did the u/s and said that it was too early to see much of anything and this was normal. But, I was sure that I had read that the HB can be seen this early. Anyone know if this is normal??

Had a BPP today and saw my doctor. Both girls passed with perfect scores and looked great. I am so happy to be one day away from 36 weeks. Maybe they will stay cooking for at least one more week...

I got pg with my son using 50mg of clomid. We are now ttc for #2 and I haven't O'ed on 50mg. Has this happened to anyone else? I convinced my OB to give me 100mg before sending me to a RE.

DS is almost 19 months and is very into hitting. He even says "hit" or "hitting" with toys, spoons, etc. It's like it's a game to him. He's with my niece everyday and they are so physical right now (she just turned two). It's driving me nuts because our sweet kids are being monsters.

I keep reinforcing that we don't hit that we're nice (show him how to touch nicely) and make him kiss/hug, apologize. He knows it's naughty but keeps doing it repeatedly. It makes me so sad to see my sweet baby hitting and pulling hair.

Any adivce or tricks to get this to calm down?

This too shall pass, right?!

I had two follies on my right that were 17mm. I trigger Sun and IUI Tues. Woot woot!!! Im very excited and super nervous all in one. The IF rollercoaster of emotions suck. Lol
