I am fully aware that I am being extremely ridiculous for being excited to take one pill, but I feel like they have been sitting on my counter forever and I finally hit cd5 to start taking it. Last Sunday DH and I participated in a fundraising walk for our local humane society. This is the place where we adopted Annie from, so it's very near and dear to our hearts. I was our "team captain" with 8 people total walking with us, and our team raised over $500!! I was so excited. Here are two pictures from the photographers at the event:

Boomer says thanks for all of the T's and P's. I have him home and well, he's drunk lol. They removed two masses and sent them to the lab to be tested for cancer. We probably won't know anything for a few days on that. But he's back home and sound asleep after he wandered around aimlessly for a while. Here's a pic of him sleeping standing up on the way home.

I live in BC, which means trees, trees and more trees. This means bugs. We are in the midst of some sort of caterpillar invasion and it's crazy gross.

I don't like squishing bugs, and they are EVERYWHERE so it's impossible to avoid them. I'm trapped in my house! They are repelling down trees on little strings and crawling in swarms across the streets and up trees and houses. DH covered our tree trunks with tin foil so they can't eat our leaves, but they are still in our lawn and on the house.

I had one in my pant leg yesterday for an hour and didn't even know it!

One interesting thing that came from this is that I discovered the "earthy" lady across the street has 2 chickens living in her backyard (um, we live in the city)... but they apparently don't eat caterpillars :P

Tonight my heart hurts...I've been trying to keep so busy lately trying to ignore the pain of three miscarriages that all of a sudden (and a glass too many of wine) I'm having my own pity party. I know I'm so blessed to have a beautiful healthy little boy who is about to be four but at the same time I am feeling so depressed, angry, lost, sad, that I haven't been able to carry a baby full term and bring home a healthy baby. All of the baby items I've held on to I can't stand to look at anymore.

Ugh! I sound like such a biatch but it's so annoying when fire calls ruin our plans! We were JUST leaving town when he got a call and now he's been gone since 3:30. I was waiting around until I heard the SECOND call come in and then I finally gave up. We were supposed to go shopping then be at our nephew's bday party for 5:30... looks like that's not gonna happen! Of course, I love that he helps people and today's first call was definitely necessary (the second was yet another stupid carbon monoxide detector going off), but it just sucks. Pout :( haha

Anyone else's husband a volunteer firefighter and therefore understand how the calls can ruin so many plans?! I still remember celebrating our one year anniversary- just about to sit down to dinner when he got a call; he got back at 3am. Needless to say, I ate a cold dinner myself that night! lol He is a full time firefighter in the city too which is totally cool bc you only respond while working, but when you're a volunteer firefighter in a small town you respond at all hours of the day and night! Anyways, thanks for letting me whine! Happy weekend ladies

Severe pain after HSG - anyone else?

I had my HSG yesterday at 2:00, and while the injection of the dye was pretty painful and took my breath for a moment, the whole procedure was pretty low key and just uncomfortable, nothing major. I felt fine immediately after, went to Walmart, then made the hour drive home, even BBQed supper, everything felt fine.

However, by a few hours after the procedure I started to feel some pretty intense abdominal pain. Nothing to do with my uterus or cervix, I expected period like cramping and pain there, but I haven't really had any of that at all. The pain is like extreme bloat all over, my whole stomach area from my ribs to my naval and right across to both sides is extremely tender to the touch, and any movement is excruciating; It actually hurts to breathe, I can barely walk, can't stand upright, and a heating pad hasn't helped. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen at 1:00, 5:00, and 9:00 yesterday, but it didn't touch the pain. Needless to say I didn't really sleep all night, and the pain hasn't abated at all. I thought overnight it would ease up some.

I guess I'm just hoping to hear that this is normal, that others have experienced this? My OB office is in the city an hour away, so my only option to be seen by anyone here in my small town is the ER, but I don't want to go in for nothing. Of course hubby is worried and thinks I should go in. I have called my OBs office and left a message, but he usually does rounds at the hospital in the mornings and doesn't get into the office until lunch time, so I'll likely not get an answer there til much later today. Anyways, any insight into your experiences with HSG would be much appreciated!

As some of you who lurk on PgAL know, I got a very faint positive on a wondfo on Sunday. BFNs on FRER and multiple other brands. It is very likely this was a false positive. I don't have the wondfo batch number handy but several people have posted on different forums that it has been given false positives with this batch.

I called my RE's office on Monday morning. They failed to return my call. I started getting clear BFNs on Wednesday, which is the only thing to make me think the batch was not bad. I left another message with my RE's office that day and they did get back to me and had me come in for a beta draw yesterday. I told the nurse that it was silly at this point but she agreed that a CP was a possibility and wanted to rule that out. So, I'll find out today if it was a false positive or a CP.

I am just glad to be out of limbo. I wonder if we could get the Bump gods to make another board for limbo land?

Other "exciting" news:

The nurse thought I was calling about lab results and went ahead and shared with me (after telling me she was not supposed to) that I had a genetic disease. Nice. Cue instant Google searching. The first big issue is she said it like I had it but now I am wondering if I am only a carrier. I have an appointment on Tuesday with the RE so he will clarify it.

So I go in for my second midcycle u/s and bw tomorrow morning. If all goes well they will tell me to trigger tomorrow night and for DH and I to BD tomorrow, Sunday and Monday. We already did tonight because I always get paranoid and want extra "just in case". But DH will be working a 24 hour shift tomorrow into Sunday morning so he'll be gone from 4:45am tomorrow to 7:30am Sunday. Here's the million dollar question... Do we BD tomorrow morning before he leaves and before my u/s eww? or do I ask my RE if we can trigger Sunday morning when he gets back? I don't know if I can do the shot myself. I haven't ever tried and it is in my ace. I am likely over thinking all this but I'm already so bloated and uncomfortable I highly doubt I'm not ready. What do you ladies think?

Can I take a second to brag? I've been worried about my performance at work because sometimes my head just isn't into it since I've returned from leave after losing Ava. So my boss just calls me to tell me that I have been named as one of the "Top Achievers" in our firm. I'm one of 32 people who were given this award out of a total of 9,000 that were eligible. I am feeling SO GOOD about it and proud of myself! I guess even through my grief I've been holding it together better than I thought I was.

So I am sure most of you are familiar with early pregnancy tests.com and all the stuff it offers for help with TTC. I have only ever bought OPK's and Preseed from them. They sent me an email the other day touting their "Ovaboost" product and for some reason I guess I never realized they sold other "fertility-aiding" products. Do any of you use the other stuff they sell like the Ovaboost or Fertilitea, etc? If you do, do you like them? I just wonder what a doctor would say about them.
