Introducing bottles?

C is being extremely stubborn and really will NOT take a bottle of pumped milk. Any suggestions?

We've tried me giving it, DH giving it, me out of the house, putting him to the breast before switching to bottle, different times of day, and I'm sure more. He's tried Avent classic and new model bottles, Dr. Brown's, and just today a Playtex drop in bottle. He seemed mildly interested in the Playtex.

Jumperoo, exersaucer, etc?

DD has really been into bouncing with her feet on us when we hold her up and pushing with her feet in general. She is too young for a jumperoo or exersaucer now but I think she would like one once she has better head control. How old was your LO when they started using one of these and what kind would you recommend? Specific models/brands appreciated, there are so many to choose from!

Tummy time a disaster

So, DS hates being on his stomach. Hates it. AT around 2 months, I started trying to put him on his tummy for a few second after each diaper change. He cried, but it was just 10 seconds so it wasn't so bad. I'd scoop him up and calm him down pretty fast. Then I tried to have him do it for the 15 minutes a day he should (around two months).We are now at three months and he can't go more than 10 seconds without screaming/crying- inconsolable wailing. The kind that takes 20 minutes plus to calm. The kind where his nose runs and he ends up exhausted and sniffling. So I admit I have tried it less and less often. Well, we're now at three months and although his head control is great when up on my shoulder, he can barley lift himself when lying flat :( I have tried a rolled up towel, placing him over my legs, on an exercise ball, on a bed, on me (he'll snuggle/nap on his tummy on me, but that's it) getting on the floor with him, using a mirror- nothing works. I barely have time for it to work because he gets worked up very quickly.

I am getting worried about how this will affect him and I'm just not sure what to do.

Anyone else dealing with this?

Hey, everyone! Some of you may remember me from PgAL and TTCAL. I had my rainbow baby, Julia Ruth, via csection on May 11th. She's the light of my life and I couldn't be happier to have her here finally!

I have a question regarding sleep. Julia will only sleep in our arms. We try putting her in her crib, PnP, swing, etc. when she's asleep. Ten minutes later she's up and crying. As soon as me or DH picks her up, she's instantly asleep again. We swaddle her, lay her flat on her back, play background noise, make sure she's changed and fed... Help! Any advice would be awesome.

I look forward to joining this board. The other AL boards have been such amazing sources of support for me. Thanks, ladies! :]

We are at a wedding and I put every 4 hours so down to the car I go pump while everyone gets drunk. I wouldn't change it for anything but not always the easiest when your out and about! Especially when no one understands.

Hope y'all had a great week! We're headed to visit my parents this weekend. Depsite the fact that DH and I (5'10" & 6'4") will have to sleep in an incredibly uncomfortable, small bed we are pumped to have someone else playing baby entertainer for the next 2 days!

And here they are on our first walk in the City Mini! P really hates the DSNG b/c she's confined to the car seat and can't see anything. It makes for miserable walks, so we decided to give the CM a try. They loved it!

And why are we at Target AGAIN?

Today is the last day of my maternity leave- I return to work on Tuesday. I was lucky enough to squeeze out an extra week (I should have returned two days ago, but my boss told me to just come back after the holiday weekend). DS will be home with DH for two weeks then another two weeks split between my MIL and two aunts. Then daycare. I cried about that for the first time this morning :(

This was after we got home from daycare. She fell asleep on the way home so I just unbuckled her and left her sleeping. When I came back to check on her she had taken her arm out of the strap. Silly girl!

I also have AW her a little. She has been sleeping 8 hours at a time for the last week but last night she did 10 1/2 hours straight! I had to wake her up to take her to daycare this morning! She has been eating so much at daycare this week and they said she slept for 5 of the 8 hours she was there today! I'm guessing its a growth spurt?! Love my little girl!

I can't believe B is almost 9 months old. DH and I are so lucky because he is such a happy baby! This was him playing with his toys a few days ago. Now that he is army crawling he is getting into EVERYTHING!

Zuzu turned 2 months on Tuesday. This week she has started falling in love with her giraffe toy. She pets her and holds her and chews on her head and ears and mane, and she instantly calms down if I wind up and play the song. It's so sweet to see. It makes me a little teary to think that maybe this is the toy she'll love so much she has to take it to college.

Mobile: Can't get comfortable...

Did any of your LO's have a hard time getting comfortable in your arms after a while? My DS is almost 5 months and lately when I rock him, he wiggles, squirms, grabs my hair, butts his head, etc. I used to rock him to sleep but now he just can't get settled in my arms. I would just put him in the crib but he screams his head off still if he's not asleep when I put him down.

It's like he wants his own space to stretch out and get comfortable but he's not quite there yet with putting himself to sleep. Anyone else? Suggestions?

Here is Nolan, all geared up for the game tonight! We are taking DS1 to his first Pens game and he is very excited! Nolan will be watching from home with my mom, but he is still ready!
