Brushing Teeth

Suddenly, out of nowhere, teeth brushing is fun! And funny even!

Before this week, brushing teeth was so bad that I have to admit we rarely did it. Bad me. I know. But it just usually wasn't worth it.

I did offer up a sticker chart and a prize as bait. But the enthusiasm was much more than I expected.

Whatever it is, I'll take it. And the decreased sensitivity about hair washing. Anyone else's toddler suddenly less resistent to tooth brushing or something else that was a huge fight in the past?

What's your biggest behavior challenge?

Ours is throwing. DS has been a thrower forever and it's his default "naughty" behavior.

I'm bored! Let me chuck something. I'm mad! Let me chuck something. I want mom's attention! Let me chuck something. You get the picture.

He's only recently begun hitting, so that's our newest challenge.

Toddler swimsuit separates

Where can I buy swimsuits in two pieces? DD's one piece 2T suit from Target is the right length, but gaps in the legs so much that you can see straight through to the other side (plus everything in the middle). Her 18-24 month tankini from Old Navy fits on top but has the same problem on the bottom, plus it's loose in the waist. I think she needs 12 or 12-18 month size on the bottom and 2Tish on top. I checked Land's End and LL Bean, but the two pieces don't go down small enough. One Step Ahead, where I bought DD's suit separates last year, is offline until July 31st.

We got hoodwinked for the 1st time

C was having trouble going to sleep tonight. DH and I both took turns going in.

He went 1st. When I went in she told me that daddy said we could go to the splash pad tomorrow. Swore up and down he said yes.

I knew we had a busy day tomorrow so I was surprised he said yes. I asked him when I came downstairs. The little liar was pulling my leg! He said nothing of the sort!

I've been mailing a lot lately; birth announcements, baby shower invites for my sister, etc. and ran out of the labels I had from Shutterfly. They were free and I have a hard time spending 8 bucks on just 25 labels. So, where do you buy yours?

We went bowling yesterday for Father's Day. C loved it! The had this neat little ramp thing that she rolled her ball off.

It has been sooo rough lately with selling and buying houses, working, keeping up with R and helping DH with his business and being preggers. Some days I just want to have a pity party. ER was yesterday morning. They retrieved 13 eggs. Of those 13, 9 received ICSI, and 8 fertilized normally. They are going to let them sit for the next 3 days and then contact me again. I'm currently trying to stave off OHSS with lots of rest and water and hope that maybe we can do transfer on Monday instead of having to do a freeze all cycle. We'll have to see.

Bathroom frequency

How often does your kid poops and pees every day; L poops 1 or 2 times a day, totally normal, but I think he pees too little

I'm not sure during the morning because he at school but from the time he gets out (3:45ish) until bedtime routine starts at around 8pm he only pees once or twice, that seems so little to me!

Same thing during weekends that he's with us all day, he goes 3+ hours without peeing, normal? not normal? what say you?

Well, ever since I got E's fever under control yesterday, she's been acting fine! Still not eating a ton but she's content with crackers, bananas, and ice cream lol! Slept good, only woke once which is her norm and her temp was only 99.2 even after not getting meds while she was sleeping. So, I'm reallllllly hoping whatever it was ran its course super quick! Still gonna take it easy this weekend and continue to pray that baby D doesn't get it.
