A day or 2 before and you should be fine.  Just keep them in the fridge.  You could probably go a few days.

Alcoholic Tip of the Day: Use a flavored vodka - Burnett's is pretty much as cheap as Popov, and it makes for a much more pleasant jello shot.

Yep. They'll keep for a few days. I make some with flavored vodka and some with other flavored liquors (Peachtree & orange Jello, Grap Pucker & grape jello, ect).

Hm. Yes, GRSP, where do you find it locally? I usually grab it from my mom's stash when I'm up north lol.

Weird. So it doesn't harden like Jello? That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, all those cups of liquid open in a refrigerator!

Okay, potential complication.  I just did a google search about wedding receptions and google shots and found a post on the knot where someone mentioned that they wanted to do this, but their reception venue wouldn't allow them to bring liquor in.  That is a valid concern.

I bet they just meant that you had to do the drinks though the venue. This is different than that.
