DOn't flame me, but I haven't taken them since 2nd trimester. I took them religiously before getting pregnant and during the 1st trimester, (because I had terrible morning/all day sickness and wasn't getting nutrition otherwise), but once I started eating balanced meals again, I didn't take them. I just kind of forgot a few days in a row, and then just totally forgot, and didn't start back up.
Although now in the 3rd trimester, I do take a folic acid/DHA supplement every night. THe baby's brain grows the most in the 3rd trimester, and since I haven't been eating any fatty fish, a DHA supplement fills that nutritional gap. (I take it before bed so that I don't get the fish burps ... the DHA supplement that I have tastes and smells like fish ... kind of gross to get fish burps when you're awake.)
