badges?

Can someone please explain to me how to add a badge to wordpress?

I'd like to consider myself somewhat computer savvy and wordpress is giving me fits.

Also, how do you make the personal badges? (I'll assume this is some intense HTML code that I'm not going to understand!)

If you're pasting in HTML code for a badge make sure you do in in HTML screen mode not visual.  Sometimes I've resorted to just copying the picture and adding a link to that when gremlins take over!

There are sites where you can make badges and they generate the code for you but would have to go off and do some hunting to find you the links.

Hope this helps, this is about as far as my IT skills go and apologies if this is embarrassingly way off the mark!

Like Microsoft Publisher? I'm pretty familiar with that, you save as an image to upload to photobucket and alter the size there?

I'll have to mess with it.

Where do you paste it though? I'd like it to show up in the column on the side. Would I paste in in a post?

You need to go to Appearances >> Widgets and add a Text widget to the sidebar and paste the code there.

yep.

i zoom in on my publiser doc. that way i make it roughly the size i want it.

i've found if you make it huge then shrink it down it gets a fuzzy quality to it.
