Seriously, Winnie the Pooh Nursery theme?

No offense to anyone who likes it over here, just nms.

And I never expected this real suggestion  from my baby's dad, he kept staring at these bibs, blankets etc. When I replied its just not my style he said: whats wrong with you?

I think we are going to have a "great" parenting life together.

lol, someone asked me today if i was doing classic pooh theme since we don't know the gender and want a neutral nursery. as if the ONLY neutral thing is winnie the pooh. we have safari animals thank you very much :) lol

I love that DH and I were both in agreement on the nursery not having a "theme".  I just see it getting out of hand very, very quickly.  Please tell me he was at least looking at the "old school" classic pooh and not the newer cartoony version.

Yeah the suggestion of strawberry shortcake and care bears by my hubby brought a chuckle.

I am not the Winnie the Pooh type either, so I totally feel where you're coming from. Luckily, my husband knows that I am lead designer so he doesn't argue!

It's nms either.  Although if I was just a little snarkier, I suppose I could enjoy the idea of being all "oh, yeah, that's the nursery.  We call it the pooh room."

I really do not like Winie the Pooh, never have....  But it was my DH's suggestion to do the nursery in pink and purple with a Disney Princess and Tinkerbelle theme.  He is really into it so I am going with it also.

I have no idea what version was that, I think it was the new version. I thought it was kind of weird for a man, I suggested he should just buy it for himself.

Totally agree! I thought I was alone in this. I, too was asked if I'm doing Winnie the Pooh a million times. I didn't even like him when I was a kid! I actually don't like any cartoon themed  nurseries, but that's just me.

I honestly detest all winnie the pooh baby items.  Someone got me a winnie the pooh humidifier (even though there is a different one on my registry) & I immediately took it back.  I just think all that stuff looks tacky.

I must defend my nursery Stick out tongue.  I got winnie classic bedding and bought cross stitch kits to decorate the walls.  I actually got it because it is gender neutral and if I need to replace something with one of the next children it will be easy to find.  I was very upset that I got a winnie swing but I will say it just has little bears on the seat and mobile so you can't even tell it's winnie.  My kids will have an insane fear of winnie though.  Oh well got to give them a complex about something.

nope don't like it, never have...and my MIL bought me a carseat that has winnie the pooh and DH rudely told her that I don't like winnie the pooh and I think he hurt her feelings, she brought it anyway and told me I could get a new cover....I will, don't worry.
