How much time do you have left? a month

What is the theme? puppy party!

How many people are you inviting? 75 including children

Cake or cupcakes? Both? Neither? There's a cake made by a friend trying to break out into the business of cake decorating and mini low sugar cupcakes for the very little ones and diabetics.

What have you accomplished so far?  The invitations are out, decorations and paper good purchased, story teller booked, room booked and paid for, cake and cupcakes ordered, birthday boy bib purchased.

Is there anything left you have to do? Pay the story teller, buy waters and boxes of organic milk, remind my step mom to order a couple veggie and fruit platters

Will there be alcohol served? no

Are you renting any big items? no

Anything else you want to add? We're skipping gifts and have instead noted on the invitations that we are accepting donations in our son's name to a local non-profit that throws birthday parties for homeless children living in shelters.  We're accepting party decor, juce boxes, and any themed papergoods.  :)

Cake or cupcakes?  Both?  Neither? I want to do just cupcakes but I'm considering whether to do some sheet cake.

What have you accomplished so far? booked the venue, ordered cupcake toppers from etsy, made a home made bunting (still have to add the letters though), picked colors. Invited people. I have to do a lot the day before because we're doing it out of town so grandparents can attend. So I have also booked the flight, and car.

Is there anything left you have to do? I have to purchase all of the food. Which I'll do the day before. We're doing burgers, dogs, and other bbq type stuff so I'll have no problem getting it w/ out preordering. I have to order the cupcakes but I dont' really have to do that until a week ahead. I'm actually worried if I do it too far in advance they'll forget. Buy all the accessories like paper plates, etc. I don't want to carry them on the plane. And print some baby pictures. 

Will there be alcohol served? No. The venue doesn't allow for it and the party is at 1pm.

Are you renting any big items? no. Just the venue which comes w/ a grill

Anything else you want to add? yes, we are doing no gifts too because we dont' want to carry them on a plane.

I'm in talk with an etsy seller about all the invites, thank you cards, banner, signs, ect. and ordered a sock monkey hat already.  We're still working on the guest list but the invites should be sent out by the end of next week. 

Is there anything left you have to do?

Decide on a menu, finish the guest list, print everything out...a lot. 

Will there be alcohol served?

No. 

Are you renting any big items?

Nope. 

Anything else you want to add? 

I love parties and am excited I can finally plan this one!  My mom planned my babyshower and it was fun but it was a hot mess.

Carson Henry, born 39w, 2d via emergency c/s due to no fetal movement and fetal distress. Seizures 6 hours after birth. Complete clot in the brachial artery in his right arm. IVH grade 2. Brain, kidney and liver injuries. 27 day NICU stay. At 2 years, has been discharged from nearly all specialists (kidneys will continue to be monitored). Tough little guy who defied his grim prognosis and is going great!

What have you accomplished so far? Designed, printed, mailed invites; bought most of the decorations, cupcake stand, utensils and plates

Is there anything left you have to do? Order the cupcakes from the shop; buy a few more decorations; put together some crafty stuff (yarn balloons, highchair bunting, make signs for the food and drinks); get a music playlist together; solidify the menu

Will there be alcohol served? It's up in the air. We'd like to do Sangria for the adults, but we're having it at DH's parent's house. They're pretty anti-alcohol, so we'll see.

How much time do you have left? 1 month

What is the theme? No real theme, but will try to make everything fit into a to-be-determined color scheme (maybe orange and aqua or green and blue)

How many people are you inviting? 30 immediate family and about 10 non-family

Cake or cupcakes?  Both?  Neither? Cake I guess

What have you accomplished so far? Just about nothing. Set the date and approximate time (late afternoon), and sent an e-mail to immediate family telling them to save the date.

Is there anything left you have to do? Just about everything. Still need to figure out exact time and location, as well as what food we're serving.

Will there be alcohol served? Probably will have beer available, but most people probably won't drink.

Are you renting any big items? Not that I'm aware of. If we have it at home, we may set up my sister's canopy/tent and some lawn chairs for outdoor shade and seating.

Anything else you want to add? I am more than slightly intimidated by all these moms who are so prepared/excited for their kids' first birthday parties. I guess I'm just not that into it.

Are you renting any big items? no i thought about a jump castle but the pavillion kinda sits on a hill so i dont see that working out well. there's a big playground at the bottom of the hill anyway.

How many people are you inviting?  90 friends and family members, including dh, C and me.

What have you accomplished so far? made and mailed invitations, ordered C's outfit (personalized shirt and tutu) and started on some of the decorations

Is there anything left you have to do? order food and cake (waiting on rsvp's to get the numbers tighter), buy paper products, finish decoration stuff, etc.

What have you accomplished so far? I made the necktie Happy Birthday banner, the neckties people can pin on and write their name on, the mustaches on sticks for the photo booth we'll set up, and I have a mock invitation that I made by hand.

Is there anything left you have to do?  A ton..I have to make the rest of the invites, make the photo collage, the photo slide show, and the signs for various tables/food areas.

Will there be alcohol served?  Oh yeah.  A keg and some wine probably.

Are you renting any big items?  Nope!

Anything else you want to add? Just hoping the weather is nice so that it can be outside at my in-laws house.  If not, they have plenty of space in their house, but it would be more fun outside.

Just a fall colour scheme. I'm saving the good themes for when she's older. (You can't do the same one twice, after all!)

See above. Pretty much everything.

Most likely a BYOB. I'll make a punch and have the simple drinks but I think we're doing a BBQ so if adults want to drink, that's fine.

Cake or cupcakes?  Both?  Neither? Cake, I think that cupcakes are a dumb trend. All of a sudden they became so effin cool and "kitchy" and they piss me off. 

What have you accomplished so far? Nothing. All I know if that I want to do it in our yard because its my favorite place in the world...I planted so much this spring that it looks like a botanical garden. Also, I know I want lanterns or string lights on trees. (Victorian garden theme maybe? But then it turns into a theme thats more for me then DS.) Clueless.  

Is there anything left you have to do? Yes, everything

Will there be alcohol served? Strictly absinthe and ether...I kid. I think a huge jar with strawberry sangria would be kind of cool though.  

Are you renting any big items? Doubt it. 

Anything else you want to add? I'm a slacker and I bet my Mom will get stuck planning this party, as she has done with all the parties my life .

How many people are you inviting? Almost 50 but that includes toddlers and babies :)

Cake or cupcakes?  Both?  Neither? Cake for guests and smash cake for DS

What have you accomplished so far?  A lot!

Is there anything left you have to do?  Pick up canopies, balloons and cake Sat morning

Will there be alcohol served?  No

Are you renting any big items?  Borrowing a couple tables from my parents

Anything else you want to add? This is the first time both our families are all together since our wedding, should be interesting!!

What is the theme?  Monkey/Jungle theme

How many people are you inviting? Invited 45 (close family and a few friends)

Cake or cupcakes?  Both?  Neither?   Cakes (a sheet cake and smash cake)

What have you accomplished so far?  Invitations (great price on snapfish); ordered cakes; the themed decoratiosn bought; most of the menu planned

Is there anything left you have to do?  Plenty left to be done - need to order the subs, pick up balloons and other decorations (day before party), figure out everything that we need to take to the park, buy plates and utensils, create birthday slideshow, etc.

Will there be alcohol served?  Yes, keg beer (all that's allowed at the park)

Are you renting any big items?  No

Anything else you want to add?  No

How many people are you inviting? About 35

Cake or cupcakes?  Both?  Neither? Cupcakes

What have you accomplished so far? Decorations and invitations have been purchased. I've bought everything to experiment with dairy/soy free recipes for his cupcakes.

Is there anything left you have to do? Finalize the guest list and mail the invitations.

Will there be alcohol served? Yes, my dad brewed a Kolsh for the occasion.

Are you renting any big items? No
