sherd:We have gone through it re-adhering a few times. I thought maybe enough hadn't been taking off either, but after seeing a specialists (who had to tear it down) they informed me that the circ had been done beautifully. The dr put in laymens terms that supposedly my son has super skin that likes to heal (re-adhere). Talked to the doctor today at DS 1 year visit about it as it has re-adhered again twice since then. She said to just put Vaseline on it at night to keep it from doing it for a little while. As he grows older and it grows too the skin will stretch with it and it shouldn't adhere again.
This! Plus, he has a "fat pack" that makes it look like not enough skin was taken, when it's really just "turtling". (does that make sense?)
OP, please get a second opinion before you get the surgery. You don't want to end up in the took-off-too-much camp.
