But they still freak me out!!! Here's an article that says what's normal and when to worry. Hope this helps someone have a little peace of mind. :-)
For those that don't have a second to read, it basically says cramps in 1st Tri are nromal as long as you're not bleeding, too. It's your uterus growing, which is a good thing because your body is making room for your baby.
As far as cramps off to the side that a lot of ladies seem to be noticing, the article doesn't mention that. I went to the Mayo Clinic and found that up to 2% of pregnancies are ectopic, so your chances are pretty good that it's not.
(Note - this is not a 2% chance that your pregnancy is ectopic, it is saying that 20 in 1000 pregnancies are ectopic. That's different. Your risk of being one of the 20 in 1000 pregnancies that is ectopic go up if - you've had an ectopic pregnancy before, you have some inflammation/infection in your fallopian tubes, you struggled with fertility issues, you got pregnant while using an IUD.)
Here's the link to that.
Thanks for the post! I had some cramps last night and was a little worried. Just got a + yesterday....Praying for sticky babies for us all!
Thanks very much for this. I have been super worried about having these cramps but it seems from other people's quotes and replies they are perfectly fine.
I love sticky babies :)
