I posted a couple questions on the Parenting board (clicky) but this is more than likely the appropriate place to discuss the show.

Anyone have any theories on the Governor & what his ulterior motive(s) may be? If you've read spoliers/the comic series, don't spoil it, please!

Do you think there's something in the tea in Woodbury?

I added the spoiler because if you didnt watch last night you would not know that lori was not in the episode at all. May have been a stretch but didnt want to confuse those that didnt see it.

I put "spoiler" in my description posts even if I don't put in a spoiler in the post just in case someone commenting might add a spoiler, perhaps that's why.

My theory on the Governor is that he wants to be the savior of zompocalypse.  He doesn't want anyone in his community that can usurpe his power or cause the people in the community to question who he is or what he is doing, think that's why he killed the soldiers.  

I also don't trust the doctor, I think he's trying to surpress some psycho urge.  The way he was looking at Machone was scary.

I cant decide if the zombie heads in the Governor's secret room is an experiment or if it is proof of his psychoticness. (is that a word?) i am also wondering about the pic of his family. Are their heads in the aquarium too? I agree that he is eliminating anyone that would threaten his authority. What is up with andrea being interested in all the psychos? First shane and now she is flirting with the governor!! In looking at the previews for next week, i have a feeling we are going to meet who was watching carol when she was performing the zombie c-section. Looks like whoever it is is screwing with the group. I am thinking that it might be the inmate that rick left for dead. We didnt see the zombies eat him. Maybe he got away!!!

The fish tanks maybe be The Governors version of Hershel's zombie barn. 

Andrea is attracted to power, as much as she's her own person and speaks her mind I think she likes someone who's more powerful than her, maybe to dominate her.  But this is MHO.  

Without a doubt It has to be the prisoner that Rick left for dead in the yard that is screwing w/them.   I don't know how he could have survived, it's either that or maybe.....maybe, the virus is mutating and the zombies are becoming more "intelligent" ????

I thought this episode was kind of "eh".  I knew the Governor was shady so the slaughter of the military men and the heads didn't shock me (though i was hoping more of those hot military men lived... we could use some hotties in zombie world)

Governor is power hungry, so I think eventually when he and Rick meet it will be AWESOME. 

You think the jawless/armless "pets" were her family members?  I think so.

I hope not!  This has ruined so many 'good' zombie books.  The damn things start talking.  They have memories from their former selves, that sort of thing.  But...but...this isn't a one-installment movie or novel, so evolution of the virus would make sense.

Ahh...the relief...I finally watched tonight.  That Governor is seriously one effed up dude.  Seriously creepy.  The zombie heads in the fishtanks...I that goes way beyond Hershel's barn full o' zombies!  (On a side note, yep, it was nice to have a Lori-free episode).   But this new place almost has a kind of Jonestown feel to it.

Do you watch The Talking Dead? They asked the EP if the tea was a stand it for "drinking the Kool-Aid." He basically said no and down played the tea. I don't know. I thought they made kind of a big deal of the tea in the episode and also thought something was going to come of it.

Without a doubt? I think it's much more likely that there are more survivors in the prison somewhere. They haven't cleared the whole thing. Or maybe another person/ group has come upon the prison? Or maybe it's Merle? I don't think the prisoner Rick trapped with all the walkers is even a possibility.

Lori most likely won't annoy you any longer!  I only say "most likely" since they never actually showed Carl shoot her.  She could still be alive.
