Early wake ups

DC2 is 8 months old and has been onandoff waking up at 45 am for months now. We've had a really tough time getting her on a regular routine, so I know that was part of the original problem, but she's now been on a good routine for a few weeks a month? and she still wakes up this early!

She'll cry if we try to put her back to sleep, but when I get up with her she just wants to play. I usually wait until 6am to feed her unless she is crying/seems hungry, of course! and she doesn't always show interest in the food, as if she's still not hungry. In fact, she eats 40 oz in the day and her last bottle is 1530 min before bed so I really don't think she's waking up because she's hungry.

Until this routine was established, she woke up a lot in the night, too... Now at least she sleeps through... She just wakes up very early.

We both work and DC1 only wakes up between 66:30, so we would love for DC2 to sleep a little longer...but we don't always try very hard to get her back to sleep for fears he'll wake her brother...

Must we just wait it out or does anyone have a suggestion?? TIA!

Dd went thru a stage of waking for the day at 5am. It passed though and she's been a great sleeper sleeping from 730pm to 730am every day for over a year.

She's still young, what time does she go to bed? I can't remember how old is OK for CIO, but you may want to try it... I know it can be tough, but when DS went through a sleep regression around 9/10 months, it only took maybe 2 nights before he was back to STTN.

DS goes down around 8/8:30p and sleeps until 8am. I mean, some kids just dont need as much sleep but the later you put them to bed the later they'll sleep, at least thats my experience and it makes sense. Good luck!
