Bridal Shower Games/Activities

I thought I would ask here because the Shower board on The Knot seems pretty dead. What are some fun Bridal Shower Games or activities. I don't want any where people have to get out of their seat.

One thing I've done is Mad Libs. When the bride or mom to be opens their gift you ask for a noun, adverb, number, etc. Then everyone participates and you have a funny story to read at the end. I bet you can Google a funny Mad Lib for it (sorry, don't have the stories I've used on hand)!

I've been to a bunch of bridal showers this year, and we played the purse game at every one of them. You provide a list of common items (and some not-so-common items) that women might have in their purses. They get certain points for these items. The person with the most points gets a prize. It's funny to talk about the stuff people have in their purses.

We also played a game with questions about the bride. Then there always seems to be a bridal word scramble as well.

The only one I really enjoy is gift bingo.  Each guest is given a blank bingo card and they fill in the squares with gifts they think the bride will receive.  From there you just play like regular bingo while the bride opens her gifts.  This keeps guests entertained during the gift opening.

I planned my sister's bridal shower.  I did games like "Bridal Shower Bingo" (I made a list of words like bride, groom, bridal party, gifts, maid of honor ect.. all wedding related) I made a "housewife tray" and put random household items (wooden spoon, rolling pin, measuring cup, remote control ect) on the tray and gave them 60 seconds to look at the tray and had 2 minutes to rewrite what they saw.  (bride walked around with tray and showed groups of 3 or 4 at a time, so I had a few stop watches to keep track of each group), the "In Your Purse" game (think of random objects that would be in a purse, like a comb, gift card, expired coupon ect..) and "The Necklace Game."  I got necklaces with rings on it and everyone starts with 2 necklaces.  You couldn't say the grooms name or cross your arm/legs.. if someone caught you, you had to give them one of your necklaces.  The person at the end of the shower with the most necklaces wins!  It was a lot of fun and got guests engaged in conversations who didn't know eachother.

You didn't mention anything about a budget, so I'll preface this by saying it's kind of pricey. I did this at a baby shower I threw for SIL and it was a huge hit. Every guest gets a page out of scrapbook to fill out about the couple, wishes and predictions for the couple, etc. Fun for the guests to do and a nice keepsake for the bride.

I know I'm Debbie Downer, but no games. Games make me so uncomfortable, even if I don't have to get up.

This.  Honestly, they are just so corny and embarrassing.  I didn't think people even played games at bridal showers anymore.  I much prefer to socialize with my family and friends.
