I like the name but dislike it's rise in popularity.  I know several people that have named their babies William (which is also a name I really like) and automatically call the baby Liam as a nn.

As PP said, not sure if popularity matters to you, but Liam is definitely on the rise!  I don't hate it, but don't love it.  Meh was my vote.

Unexplained heavy bleeding at 13w5d. Baby is healthy, cervix is closed, SCH is gone. More bleeding, dx with another SCH, 2/7/13, @ 16w. Baby is a girl! A/S 2/27/13, 18w6d. Iris Wilhelmina is healthy and perfect and beautiful!

DH and I both love the name William, but we decided against it because of its popularity. I prefer the nn Will, but Liam is a nice name.

I have always loved the name Liam. However, it's far too popular now for me to even use it. In WA it is ranked #1 and it's #15 nationally. So that is a huge no go over here. We are using it for DS's middle name though.

I voted Love it.

This is our DS's name. We named him before we knew it was popular. Some people are bothered by popularity but it doesn't bother us one way or the other. It suits our son.

I like that it has a softer sound to it. I don't think a masculine name has to scream "I am man"! I prefer names that have a softer sound.

 I also like that it is used in several areas of the world (I like a name that travels well).
