If this is your 2+

What car do you drive? I have an Altima and I LOVE it but I'm scared that it will be too cramped or hard to have a toddler and a baby. Maybe I'm over reacting. I know people have been doing it for years with smaller kids. Just tell me, what is your experience with your car. Would you recommend it?

I drove a BMW 3 series and it was impossible. I banged my head daily trying to get my LO's bucket out of it. After a year of dealing with that, I got a Jeep Grand Cherokee and I'm in love with it.

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee and DH has a Chevy Silverado 4 door.  We love them both but they're both gas guzzlers.  I love the height of my Jeep to get kids in and out.  I think you'll be fine with the Altima, though!

When my son was born, I drove an adorable red Ford Fusion that I was in love with. However, by the time he was nearly a year old and we were starting to talk about our next baby, it became clear that I needed a little more space. It wasn't an easy decision, but it is one that I am glad I made. I now drive a Ford Edge that I also really love. It has plenty of room for two kids and the cargo that comes with them, plus it has some cool features that I love (double moonroof, sync for my music--all I do is press a button and tell it what to play, leather interior).

I drove a Honda Civic with three carseats in the back up until a month ago.  With #4 on the way we just got a used GMC Suburban.  We needed six seats in the back in case we have more children or have extra passengers.

This! Except we went for a Subaru Forester instead of the Jeep.  I love it!

We have a Subaru Outback and love it. Although the roof is a little low, it makes up for it (gas mileage, trunk space, reliability, traction, safety). When we get another car, it will most definitely be a Subaru.

I started out with 2 kids in an older Lexus 300.  It was pretty cramped and we wound up getting an Odyssey which I LOVE!  With multiple kids, the automatic sliding doors are worth their weight in gold.  Plenty of space and the ability to move around inside without getting out of the vehicle if necessary.  It's also great for road trips.

We also have an Avalon and it's a decent size for multiple car seats.  I think we should be able to get three kiddos in the backseat.  I love driving it too.

We have an Odyssey, which DH drives and loves (cool electronics in that thing)... it is the easiest in terms of getting the kids in and out, etc.

I drive a Subaru Outback (the new body style, which is wider and bigger).  I love this car with the 2 kids.  It is perfect.  No problem getting them in and out.  We purposefully chose this car for the ability to fit 3 carseats in the back.  I can't speak to ease of that yet : ), but it's great for 2 kids (3.5y and 18mo).

Had a Buick Lacrosse when DD was born and it hurt my bad so much to bend over to put her in, I got an Acura MDX and loved it, now I'm looking at the back seat and questioning how I'm going to fit two car seats. Might have to get two new slim car seats...

We have a Honda CRV which will have plenty of room for DD and the baby on a regular basis, but when SKs are here I'm not sure on that seating scenario.

I have a Buick Enclave so I don't forsee any difficult with 2 kids (the 2nd row is captain's chairs). We didn't have it when DS was a baby so I haven't used an infant seat in it. DS drives a Vibe-it'll be fine with 2 car seats, but we couldn't have 2 seats and any extra passengers.

How in the world did you manage that!? When I'm driving, I look at my back seat and think, "This is going to be a pain." I can't imagine with three.

Both FI and I drive Honda Civics. He has a two-door, which he now regrets because it's difficult to place DS in and out of it, and he foresees himself being frustrated with a newborn too. I have a 4 door, and I'm not too worried about space. We both are not getting new cars just yet.

We had an Ford Expedition and loved it. We recently purchased a Chevy Suburban and love it more than the Expedition. We have a large car because we have family out of state and travel a great deal. All of our LOs will still be in large car seats when the baby arrives so we purchased a Suburban with the captains chairs in the second row...it is so much easier than trying to get three car seats on the bench.

I must add that I am 6ft, DH is 6ft8in and our LOs are all off the charts height wise so we really need the leg room.

I was in your same boat. I had an infiniti sedan which I loved but with a second baby on the way, I figured I needed something roomier. I just bought a nissan murano and after only having it for about four days, I am in love and know I made the best decision. It's so much easier to get my child into the car seat and the trunk space is unbelieveable.

This is my 2nd and I now drive a Jeep Grand Cheroekee and I must admit that my hardest decision i believe when the new baby comes is which side to put each one of them on. My daughter is 5 and I know  she will be a big help. There won't be a space issue she's already in a booster seat.

i still drive my bmw 3 series with 2 kids.  it fits both my double strollers (not at the same time) and maybe b/c i'm short i never had any issues with putting the infant seat in and out.  with #3 on the way though i plan on getting an odyssey in the next few months.  although i'll miss my car terribly, i'm pretty excited for all the extra room i'll have with a van!

I currently have a 2012 Terrain (GMC) but will be upgrading to the 2013 Acadia soon for the 3rd row. Since #2 is only 13 months, it will be a pain to try and get her and new baby in and out of vehicle if I've got one of them in the middle on the seat.

I also have an Altima.  I don't see an issue fitting two car seats in it.  DD is only 15 months, and I will be keeping her rear facing until 2 at least.

The issue is that is works fine for ME!!!!  I am 5'2" so I don't worry about space too much.  But....my husband is 6'2", and there is no way that he'll be able to drive my car.

He drives an Accord. I worry that is also going to be too tight for him because of how far back he has his driver seat.  We are ready for a new car anyway, so we are trying to figure out what to buy before the new baby arrives.  And yes, we will be bringing both car seats with us to test that they actually fit in the cat before we buy anything!

I went from a Jeep Liberty to a Chevy Traverse with #2.  We got bucket seats in the middle. I like it, it's so much bigger.  Which is obviously nice for travel/hauling stuff but so much larger in traffic/parking!

Lincoln continental. Very roomie in the back seat and the trunk is pretty big too. I'm dd will be 3.5 when baby is born so hopefully we don't need a double stroller.

Chrysler Town & Country...I originally hated the idea of a mini-van, but this thing is awesome. So much room, stow & go seats, double automatic sliding doors. I don't have one complaint. Kids are currently in the captain's chairs right behind us, but when DS#2 arrives, big bro is moving to the back row.
