How far along, month wise?

I'm sure this seems rather strange, but I've been having a hard time determining exactly how far along I am by months! I'm 17 weeks pregnant, and every time I try to figure out how long that is in months, I get both 4 months AND 5 months! How far exactly am I in months?

4 weeks - 1 month

8 weeks - 2 months

12 weeks - 3 months

16 weeks - 4 months

20 weeks - 5 months

24 weeks - 6 months

28 weeks - 7 months

32 weeks - 8 months

36 weeks - 9 months

40 weeks - 10 months

There you go :) Yes, sadly we are actually pregnant for 10 months, not 9. We just don't find out we are preg until 4 weeks along (you ovulate around 2 weeks into your cycle, then 2 weeks later you get your first positive usually, so your considered pregnant for 1 month by this time)

Actually, no. If every month had 4 weeks in it, every month would have 28 days.

As PP linked, here is how you determine the weeks and months in pregnancy.

Not really. A calendar month is something like 4.2 weeks long, and you are pregnant for 9 calendar months. Like, if your period started on the first of April you're pregnant for A, M, J, J, A, S, O, November, December. 9 months.

To the OP, if you're IN your fourth month then you are not yet 4 months pregnant.

You are 9 months pregnant on your due date, for example. for the month before that, you are IN your 9th month but not 9 months pg. Like, I am 30 years old. I will be 31 in a few weeks (so I'm in my 31st year of life but won't be 31 until the last day of it is over.)

Thats the list I got from my OB so its what I've always went by. It goes just by 4 weeks = 1 month. It doesn't take into account the actual days in a month.

I go by my due date. So on August 10 I was 1 month, September 10 2 months, October 10 3 months, November 10 4 months and I won't be 5 months until December 10. You may be getting different answers because you are 4 months pregnant, but in your 5th month. Like I am 31 years old, but in my 32nd year and won't turn 32 until July. Does that make sense?

I always fail to understand how people have such trouble with this.

Well, each month technically has about 4.5 weeks. I just counted back from my due date. April 2 would be 9 months. March 2 would be 8 months. February 2 would be 7 months, etc.
