Buy Buy Baby Registry Event

Need to AW for a minute.

Has anyone else been invited to a Buy Buy Baby Registry event? If so, and it has not happened yet, GO. 

We had ours in Dallas today and it was awesome. 20% off everything (no diapers or furmula) and no brand exclusions - even on special orders and furniture. Most people were there getting their strollers and furniture. It was paced, but the staff was so helpful.

I got 20% off my Baby Jogger City Mini Double. That's a $90 savings.

Plus they had awesome drawings and I won a free Joovy Hook Booster Seat. Awesome.

I was skeptical when I got the invite. So glad I went. When you checked in, they already had your registry printed out for you with you 20% off coupon to show at the register. And it was 20% off everything, not just registry items. In total I saved $150 on my purchases.

I couldn't get DH up in time to go. I think it's silly for them to have it from 9am - 11am on a Sunday; people go to church, or sleep in on Sundays! :(

I'm glad you got the stuff you needed at a great discount, though!

You scored big - way to go!

I went and took my mom along with me - but I didn't really get anything big. I did get a bunch of little things that I've been meaning to pick up. And hey 20% off is 20% off - but as I saw couple after couple walk up to the registers with big ticket items, I wished that I had held off on buying stuff and been able to save a little money. Oh well!

We just had our shower on Saturday, so it was great for us to be able to go and get all of the things we still needed!  We actually received most of our big items that we didn't already have (just needed the infant seat stroller frame), but didn't have a lot of the more boring necessities. 

So we bought alot of onesies, pajamas, swaddling blankets, sheets, mattress pads, changing pad covers, bathtub...and a few fun outfits, toys and books :)  Ended up saving almost $100, so it was a good trip!  Now I feel almost ready....

YES!!!! We went and saved a ton! I was so happy. We were shocked that they took manufacturer coupons on top of the 20% off. We saved a total of $298.

The place was a mad house as you can imagine but the staff was extremely helpful and whatever they didn't have in the store we were able to order with free shipping and they took 20% off as well. SO happy we went.

I knew nothing about this! :(  I'm in Arlington and would have happily driven to Dallas to do it.  Anyone know how frequently they do these?  Maybe there's another one going to happen before I deliver.

I live in FL and they told me this was the first time they had done this. The outcome would determine whether or not they will do it in the future. You had to be registered with BBB in order to be invited though.

I am registered at BBB so I got a phone call about 2 weeks ago and then an email invitation as well. 

They did it before the store opened on Sunday so it was a private event. You could tell it was super-crazy in there, but the staff was so nice and helpful - which is why I registered there instead of BRU in the first place. I think they had every employee working the event.

They had brand representatives, but I never felt "sales pressure" and refreshments too. Plus, they carried all my heavy stuff to my car for me.

I went last night - ours was from 6-8pm.  Like evreyone else said it was a madhouse - took forever to get a shopping cart.  I saved over $200 - so really happy I went.
TTC. 5/2011. ME 34 DH 39. Male factor infertility - erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, 1% morph. 3/12 IUI #1 (clomid 50 mg+ trigger) = BFN. 4/12 IUI #2 (clomid 150 mg+ trigger) = BFN. 5/12 IUI #3 (clomid 150 mg+trigger) = BFP baby

I went to the Atlanta one and picked up a city mini gt stroller and peg perego car seat/extra base. The place was definitely a madhouse and I was glad I went straight to the stroller/car seat section. The event was well run and was definitely worth my time for 20% off brands that are usually excluded on coupons.

We had ours last night from 7PM to 9PM and the only thing that was excluded was diapers and wipes. I figured we could pick up a convertible seat now for the 20% off bc Britax never goes on sales.   We splurged on an UppaBaby Vista and got 20% off of that too.  Though like others said, it was a pure madhouse with long long lines but they did pass out cookies and water, plus raffles.   I think it paid off for us.

I went to one this weekend in Rockville, MD. It was great! I saved a ton of money and they were really well organized!

I also went to the Rockville, MD one and it was really great. So many pregnant women in one place! I still have one more shower and have already purchased a lot of the big things, but I did get a Beaba Baby food maker that usually doesn't use a coupon. This was also less related to the event, but made me so happy: They had a Cybex Aton car seat that is usually 250 for 150 since they don't sell it in stores. Someone ordered it online and returned it. Then, I got an additional 20% off that. I was so happy!! Picked up a couple other little things, too. I really wish it had been after my last shower!! I've been hoarding 20% off coupons, though, so hopefully I'll be okay.
